  1. Already in the Logs on Approaching Lost Clients About Security? · · Score: 2

From your article, it appears that you've already been looking round the servers owned by the lost client, which would imply that there is already a fair amount of information in their logs showing where you have been. Sooner or later that information is going to show up (maybe after thay get seriously hacked?) and it's not going to look good. However, the following may be a suitable way of getting around the situation:

Tell the customer that you regularly look at sites of lost clients to identify areas where you are losing to the competition - this is a normal business activity to improve your future performance. However, through this completely innocent investigation, you discovered information that you should not be able to see. As you are aware that this will appear in any logs, you are informing the client to firstly exclude yourself from any investigation of future events, and secondly in the hopes that they will close any gaps before something bad happens.

This is a very believable situation - if you're giving advice for free then the client will suspect other motives, but giving them information to keep yourself off the hook is quite understandable.

In addition, I really must point out to you jolly chaps that this particular Enigma machine was a rather splendid version given to Bletchly Park as a gift from the Germans, after all that unpleasant war business was well and truly over. Tally ho!

AFAIK the Enigma that was recently stolen was originally presented to Bletchley Park by the German authorities. It's not the original one that was used to crack the code, and it certainly wasn't stolen from the Germans

I don't fear the judgement of my Lord because I don't subscribe to any single one - but please read on to understand why I feel this way. My actions are all of my own volition. My values are based on respect for life. I have a lifetime to make my choices, and in my opinion it is far better to make a reasoned judgement based on experience than make a choice based entirely on the opinions of others. Any deity worth being devoted to must surely accept that followers will take their own choices in life - is it better that a person acts through knowledge or fear of sanctions? When (if) I subscribe to a specific religion it will be through my own choice having seen and heard the opinions of many different groups. In conclusion, I am not an atheist, but as yet I don't feel I've discovered enough information in this lifetime to commit to a choice that could well affect me for eternity.

Surely if children are so easily influenced, it would be just as damaging to introduce Christian values and teachings into games. How about the myriad of other religions? At least by using deities which are known to be fictional, there is no unfair bias to any religious group by the designers of the game. I have no objection to the game promoting values, but they should be presented from a non-religious aspect - is it such an unusual notion that people could treat each other with respect just because life is better that way, rather than doing it because a particular religious group claims that a deity requests it. This isn't intended as Troll-bait, but I'll not be surprised if it ends up that way.
