The biggest problem I see with your model is what I call the telephone/cable sales model. You pay one price for service, and you pay it to one company. For that payment you get all the services you select. If an internet user has to pay their ISP, and all content providers they visit, or a coalition of providers, they recieve more bills than are needed. No one wants that. Furthermore, the ISP's will not work together to create a market where they share revenue with sites and charge customers access to those sites.

I was amazed by that myself. They claim identical turning radius to the factory tires, which is pretty darned tight, and that would definitely stress out your joints. If you examine the photos, there doesn't appear to be any kind of gearing to let the tracks freewheel, so 4wd on grass would mean trashing the grass and your tranny

Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is differential. I am a set of gears. I have a ring gear, a pinion, and 3 spider gears. I let each wheel spin a different speed when I am turned. My purpose is to take the load off of universal joints, and/or CV (constant velocity) joints. I work equally well when you turn sharp, or shallow. I was designed by an engineer.

Yeah, I used to contract to the government. That was a sweet job. 40 hours a week, work probably 15. We contractors called the government types SGW (spoiled government workers) till we realized they worked less then we did, so we changed it to Spoiled Government Employees.

I've done this for a living, among other things, and I'll say, yes, make them put in a pull string.

This comment is mostly for the replies. Most times it is a good idea to pull in a new string with your new cable. The problem you run into is string out of a box is twisted, and so is cable out of a box. Both wrap around existing string and cable and become harder to pull. The string can actually act like a saw and cut through the cable. (very not good with fiber)

Obviously you dont want to fish every run, but if you fish every five to ten, you save cable, and time.

As far as I know, the 2 biggest presses in the world are located 1 in the former Soviet Union, and one in Bldg 56, Denver federal center. It is Part of the Bureau of Reclamation lab. I've worked there, and at NIST in Boulder. (the atomic clock is cool.) The Press at the BOR stands head fully raised 50 feet, and has a head about 15 by 15 feet. The operating pressure is somewhere about 5M newtons. One of the most impressive things I have ever seen in action. I've seen 12"x12" lumber used as "stickers" against the head during a press pour water out like a sponge. And this is cured lumber. They also have tons of other stuff there, a low ambient pressure chamber for cavitation testing, a 100% humidity room, exact models of riverbeds that fill a 100'x50' room to test erosion. Just fantastic.

I agree. One point I would like to stress is the difference between "other" media, and the "net." I pay for my cell phone wich comes with certain capabilities. I pay for my cable TV, wich includes channels I select. I pay for my internet, wich now could mean I get and internet bill, and MLB bill, a slashdot bill, etc. I know I dont want a bill for every site I want to view. I want something inclusive like cable. Charge me $x per month that includes what I want to see. Don't nickel and dime me to death.

Why should I be forced to subsidize your child's education through a mill levy or a tax. I am a single man, but I pay for other breeders kids to go to school. You may say it is for the betterment of society as a whole. I say overpopulation is rampant, and contributes to more pollutants in the environment. I would go further, and say making me pay for your offspring does more harm to the earth than if you would not have had them at all.
