There is a huge difference between criticizing and insulting.
And some intentionally dont want to make a difference, only blind man cant see that. Its a insult for the sake of insult and nothing more.
And usually those are Anonymous Coward's.

I would suggest a Law that if anyone wants a right to insult anyone he needs to do it face to face.

There is something in Pi that is far beyond numbers. It hides an answer to some questions for sure. It puts math on abstract side of reality. Pi is weird....

I think I have explained that in the first post. That is in general, for individual tasks like system interactions, parsing, some network programming i use python.
As I am building custom solutions, I don't have much use of py web frameworks. And usual tasks are much faster done in PHP than in python.
How many other tools, apart from PHP, did you properly try?
I use C#, Java(EE), Python, AS3, PHP, MySQL, Linux on all my projects.
It just happens that each of them for me has it good purpose for specific tasks.
I use technology by its benefits(performance and interoperability) and speed of development not by plain preference (like I know that and I stick to it).

It seems that ignorant Americans are not seeing that their laws are maid to suit corporate interests not to protect justice and freedom. To issue conviction without a (fair) trial is something I can only say WOW!
I didn't know that something like that is even possible in USA. I would expect something like that in some dictatorship country from past century.
Technology (in this case bittorrent) can not be guilty for bad (business) practices. And future will show how ridiculous this is.
I don't think this is something which will bring any good to anyone. Change is obviously needed, and this "big guys" don't like that idea. On the final I dont think that will bring them any joy as copyright system how it stand now it will not stand for long.
I think that new business model is something we can expect in next few years in this arena.

PHP is one of the best web development platforms!
It provides best start-up tool and a wide door towards hi-end development. PHP abilities amazes me. It provided me a door to Linux world, c++ world, Java world, DB world, RIA world,... On windows it provided me door to the COM components, services,.NET...
If you are not happy with performance, its easy. Create library in C++ or use one. And people PHP is written in C++.
Facebook is best proof that PHP is robust enough to handle large scale development. That is painful to language specific haters...
One thing i LOVE about PHP is that it handles dirty code. This is something, considering that I come from creative world, that gives me freedom in sketching ideas. So far I didnt find better tool for this kind of R&D.
I think if we managed to sustain a fart at least once a year we would putt less CO2 for a year than PHP cause for 10 years. Not to mention that how much PHP with all that Open Source phenomenon behind it save lives and nervs...
PHP affected more on suicidal numbers that anything in C++ Web development world...
