Anyhoo, I just wanted to comment that what they're doing could actually have practical implications since the inner ear is hugely affected by weightless-ness. In addition, I damn sure want someone to hear me screaming if I'm floating in a space vessel.:^)
There are too many cool places like Gordon Biersch and Kobe's that one can go to.
Geez... you could have at least suggested Uno's or Carls', Jr.
Other cool (read: inexpensive) places... Pluto's in Palo Alto Mango Cafe in Palo Alto Frankie, Johnny, & Luigi's in Mtn. View. nothing in Santa Clara that Korean BBQ place in Sunnyvale with a name I can't remember. Anyway, that place isn't inexpensive. Any Chinese place in downtown Mtn. View. Absolutely nothing in downtown Saratoga
I remember a tireme attacking a battleship and winning with the original Civilization (not II) under DOS once.
:^)
We (about 17 of us) theorized that maybe one of the sailors jammed a wooden oar into the propellers of the battleship.
Ya gotta wonder sometimes...
TurboTax?
Ugh! This is the last year I waste my money w/ TurboTax.
Kiplinger's tax cut is waaaaay cheaper, and I don't have to pay another $15 to file online.
However, I would *love* to see Intuit's (and Lightwave 3D) ported to Linux.
Wow... being a Linux user since the 1.0 kernel days, I'm still in a state of shock.
With SMP systems, in addition to clock speed, you also need to match cache size...
:^P
I.e. 512k n.e. 1024k, etc. etc. even if you are using Forth....
Good luck!
I remember when the !@#$ mobo's were $2500 w/ no CPU's.
Even if you do by and populate one. 70pin ECC memory is high!!!
Better to build a dual Celeron 400 and smile.
If you do decide to do this, 200x256 will give you better performance than 200x512. Don't ask why.
I remember reading this in a NetPower (now defunct) review like 3 years ago.
Hope this helps.

Hmm...
Are you going to try and make a dual 400 (o'c to 600) Celeron?
That I'd like to see...
BTW, what type of motherboard (and chipset) is this?
Kudos for realizing that one shouldn't run IDE on a dual system.
Dude, I have a detailed map of SF in my 2MB Palm III (no x here).
:^|
Grab 'em from http://www.handmap.org/. (I think.)
It's only $6.
Yeah, it'd be nice to run a Linux webserver (or even a little # cruncher to process Navier-Stokes eq.) on one of those strongARM WinCE PDA's.
I already love using my palm as a portable vt100.
So you got the first post. Wah...
:^)

Togo's bites!!!
Blech!

The list goes on...
You act as if this is bad.
I won't say that gnome sucks.
It's just not as aesthetic as KDE.
Something about gnome just looks... brash. Even the alternative themes don't sit well with me. (To each his own.)
BTW, if any KDE folks are listening, I liked the default 1.0 colors better than the 1.1.
