    The real problem is stupid sysadmins, how many servers (or computers in general) out there are susceptible to exploits that are years old..

    Damn, some skript kiddie tried to hack my box but had the netbus server running on his box. It was kinda amusing for a while there..

    I was in a dorm a few years back and the occupants did almost the same thing. All of us flushed our toilets (approx 400 toilets) simultaniously (timed to when the local news started). Dunno what the hell happened, but we flooded the basement somehow. (5 floors, we had a math guru time the floors, sort of a time on target thing, and the first floor flushed 4 seconds after the music started, 2nd 3 sec, 3rd 2 sec, 4th 1 sec, 5th as they heard it)
    It was a while back...

    Because "Dumb Fuck Drivers", who have multiple DUI's obviously don't give a shit about the amount of alcohol in their blood when they drive. They don't give a damn that their reaction time goes to shit either.

    What can I say - some people need "Institutionalization".

    Yes I'm biased, a 4 (well, 5 when he hit me) time _convicted_ drunk driver fucked my car up, and screwed up my back. He wasn't just over .08 though, he passed out in the police car and the paramedics had to come to drag him to the hospital.

    And yes, there is a cheap breathalyzer, they cost about $3 and can be found at 7-11's.

    A source within the administration, Bush administration, a source close to Bush, et al have been used by the media for quite some time, usually to hide the identitiy of the source, usually a junior aide / someone who has access to the president on a regular basis.

    Beaverton, Oregon does the same thingf (right outside of Portland, where all the intel and textronics geeks are) installed the cameras at a whopping $15,000 to install and $10,000 to rent a MONTH (EACH!!! i.e. multiply x 4 for an intersection)
    The yellow lights used to be 3 seconds, but now are 2.3 seconds.
    BTW, these are not accusations, an independent study has been done.
    Personally, I wonder why the rent is so fucking high for these lights. I guess government corruption at its best, someone is definately making money.

    The rips will be out earlier..

    Now. About the 500mb file / encoding / view part.

    I've put divx (700mb encoded rips, not the failed divx, btw, did this in canada, where it is still legal) movies (via TV out) on a 54" TV and could not tell the difference between that and a DVD (I have a cheap sound system, i.e. 2 speakers).

    In any case, it'd be interesting to see how they shave 200mb off the file. I'm sure people will, um. adapt it.

    Most people don't even have the security enabled, so security isn't really an issue. It's called war driving btw, driving around with a laptop and a gps.

    If you're running iis, you know you are running iis. Not to say that you'll patch it, but neither do many sysadmins (who, btw, have faster internet connections)
