that doesn't matter...ummm honestly are you going to go with the original one, or the better one?
some people feel ibm made the first pc, some people feel that apple did, I'm guessing you don't like both of these companies even though one of them INVENTED the PC huh? How's that for innovation?
even though intel did, i feel it doesn't give it the crown for best chips now.............just as you may feel apple or ibm don't deserve the crown for pcs....this is clear enough
"spare the lachrymosity when the fulminations have inveighed"
i'm not sure whether thats a valid comment...and about adobe and microsoft cutting off the ports? where did you hear this? especially adobe.
since the imac ports to macs have gone up, they may be going back down a little now, or going up and down at the same time, meaning virtually staying the same...
***But*** wouldn't most much rather use macintosh hardware? Or should I say IBM, Motorola chips and stuff, I think most can agree how much better the G4s are...and how much better IBM [and Motorola] is at innovating and inventing...and making chips than AMD and Intel.

if people see you're comment, you will recieve a lot of criticism =) "linux fad" "dies down"... on a primarily linux site... hehe... im doubting that too, its not a fad, why would it be a fad when people see the better alternative? a fad would be just getting on the bandwagon to be like others. thats not whats happening.

There has been Microsoft like monopoly talks by many people, not many business adults, but some, and discussion of investigations and stuff. This is incredibly stupid for AOL, if they do what I think they may do (what we're probably all thinking), frontlining NSI as a register directly on AOL. Even if they don't do that, this is incredibly stupid and AOL's shoulder will be looked over just that much more. I can respect Bill Gates' intellectuality (amazing isn't it?)and him as a business man, Steve Jobs' as well, Jeffrey Bezos' as well, Jerry Yang's (isn't that the yahoo guy?) as well, but honestly, I think Steve Case is not an intelligent man, and does not have what it takes to headline AOL/Time Warner, nor AOL itself by himself actually... I'm sorry Steve Case, but I think you're stupid =)

"spare the lachrymosity when the fulminations have inveighed"
i know this, but i still think it would be much better with the chips (although i personally prefer cd music-but since mp3 players currently use chips, it would just be better)
"spare the lachrymosity when the fulminations have inveighed"
Honestly, I do not see much of a point to this from Aiwa's standpoint, except so they can try to play the wave of the future, as if they are with it. It still loads tracks right off of a CD, so I see this as kind of pointless. I'm sorry-correction:whether or not mp3's are the wave of the future, it is extremely hard to tell at this point (and you know why), although I believe after all of this is settled, mp3's will die down for a while to shortly make a fast recovering return, at which point the future we are so longing for may have arrived.

As far as I know, there is still no motherboard to fully support AMD's 200 MHz bus...if I am correct, I think its going to be amazing how fast the athlon will fly when it does have the full motherboard support...

This doesn't sound too promising to me, the download cost and the fact that you lose the game after you shut it off, but if you still have rental time you can download it again...sounds like DIVX...only worse, "rental time" just like DIVX. We all know what happened to DIVX (because it sucked)
"spare the lachrymosity when the fulminations have inveighed"
yeah, i noticed that wasn't it after a while, i was bored and testing several possible solutions, immediately each was returned because it was invalid, but the last one i entered didn't return as soon as the others, so i thought i got it, it was returned a few hours later

With such a statement, it would seem that you guys do it just for the music (the art), making a statement like this makes it seem so.
But things are otherwise, if it is truely art doesn't it deserve to be heard by everyone, meaning it is solely for the ART of the music, not just the money you guys may be losing now?
To me, it's more about the ARTist, "oh no, my pocket is getting thinner"
I feel that if it was truely for the art, Metallica would not care about how it is being heard, as long as it is. True art is deserved to be seen or heard by everyone freely. Of course art can be bought, but it seems the true art is displayed in museums freely. With Napster, the art can be heard by everyone, Napster is a museum of sorts, and if they want to buy a copy of the art (like replicas of paintings), they can go to a music store and buy.
