Interesting. I was wondering (and Iâ(TM)m sure Iâ(TM)m not alone) what would lead the federal government to go in the direction of utilizing corporate cloud infrastructure considering the obvious sensitivity of the data in question, rather than keeping all of that on a system managed strictly by government personnel.
Thank you! In my profession, Iâ(TM)ve seen many examples of young children with their own Facebook accounts (sometimes with their parentsâ(TM) blessing) who got into some kind of trouble with them, usually involving harassment, exposure of private information, and sometimes worse. I began to think that having a limited, parent-monitored account option would prevent some or perhaps many of these incidents from occurring.
I generally agree that social media use by young children is not healthy. Nonetheless, there are parents who will allow it. I wonder what led the group to claim that âoeIt appeals primarily to children who otherwise would not have their own social media accounts.â While I admit there might be some appeal to that population, based on my experience I believe it would primarily appeal to parents of children who already use Facebook in some fashion, and it would be a better fit for them than a full account.
If you limit peopleâ(TM)s options, even with the best of intentions, sometimes you drive them to do more dangerous things than what you were trying to prevent in the first place. While I donâ(TM)t want to take that argument too far (e.g., I donâ(TM)t support legalizing âoesoftâ drugs to prevent people from gravitating to âoehardâ drugs), people should recognize that there is another side to this argument, and that this service may provide a benefit to certain people.
Agreed. A level of trust is required when you allow vendors to push automated updates to your system, and unfortunately there have been breaches of this trust when vendors saw this as an opportunity for more than enhancing user security.
You're ignoring the fact that some drugs are habit-forming to a high degree and are very potent, and that their use is highly detrimental to health, with negative effects up to and including death.
Check your facts. The USA doesn't execute juveniles, nor defendants who were juveniles at the time of the crime. People are found incompetent to stand trial all the time for conditions far less debilitating than autism. And if you're inferring that we should only execute men and not women, I hope you have a really good reason for why we should discriminate that way.
People don't have to actually witness executions to in order to be deterred from committing murder because they know they could face the consequence of execution.
Also, incompetence is not a reason to kill our prosecutors and police officers, just like negligent homicide is not generally punishable by death in general. There are numerous trial rules which make mistakes made by investigators to end up in favor of the defendant, and there is an extensive appeals process to validate that the defendant's every right was protected. Malicious prosecution and/or fabricated evidence resulting in the execution of an innocent person should be treated like any other homicide.
The legal meaning of terms like "stalking" are significant in this context. Generally, stalking refers to behavior like surveilling, threatening, or harassing which makes the victim feel that they are in danger. In some states, a stalking charge is a felony.
Law enforcement conducting surveillance on a suspect's property to verify the credibility of a tip and to obtain probable cause for a search warrant is hardly "stalking."
I sometimes mock the obnoxious disclaimer in all capital letters in the BSD license but in this case, could it have saved a few developers from massive liability?
Everyone rallies to protest the idea of the police having move capable and modern surveillance and tracking tools, until they discover the criminal who victimized them will not be apprehended because the nearest traditional police patrol unit was five miles away trapped in traffic or stuck behind the 90% of motorists who can't be bothered to yield the right-of-way to first responders driving to an emergency.
A fortnight is a two-week/fourteen-day period of time,

If Apple puts a quad core chip back in the mini, I will be surprised. But I will also be very happy and will go buy one.
