The code snippet you see in the summary is the same kind of thing you see in libraries all over the internet in all kinds of projects. Programmers simply don't consistently follow safe memory management conventions yet will chest-thump over how beneath them managed languages are. Poor documentation also accompanies the same "just get it working" culture.
Editor posts story from anonymous troll regurgitating punditry talking points (that were refuted last week BTW) and it headlines on Slashdot. Stats only lie if you misrepresent the context:
It's called arcadia. It's this myth that's been around since ancient Rome that life would be so much simple if wealthy urbanites could simply retire to the country for vacations to recharge. The truly delusional quit their jobs and buy farms thinking their lives will then be stress free.
Speaking as a layman, I'd say less likely? Mars is closer to the Asteroid belt and Jupiter's orbit where space rocks might be wobbled into Mars' path. Second, Earth has more gravity and and atmosphere making it harder for objects to escape. Third, the Sun is on the "opposite" side so the most influencial object in the solar system is going to tug rocks flung from Earth in the wrong direction.
That seems like an odd announcement to make...if it's just one more step in the research process and this doesn't make graphene a viable replacement *yet*...
That's all fantastic in your zero mass-zero friction theoretical land, but if you can't get financing based on not having enough value in your company that's the same thing as a stock price being too high. Otherwise, I'd be able to form a company tonight and buy Microsoft.
Not sure what ISP you're using, but I haven't had one in the past 5 years or so that recycled my IP. Even over long down times (up to a day or two as I recall), the IP I was reissued was still the same.
OK, unless there's some "computers for dummies" class on the curriculum, I see no point to this. I see a lot of people frustrated with computers and unless you're going to hand feed them very practical information (backups, virus protection, safe browsing, etc.) you're just going to turn them off even more.
The 2nd of a storm of asteroids being sent by aliens to exterminate life on earth. The first hit flight MH370. Wait, make that an adamanium/vibranium hat.
No, it's definitely changed. Burning Man isn't my bag, but I have an artsy crowd of friends into that sort of thing and the change from just 15 years ago (when I first heard of it) is profound.
I think it was a cool idea that got hit by gentrification. Once the profiteers take over and law enforcement starts camping out, it's over. Now mentioning it is like a hipster street cred cliche.
ProTip: mine's in yur mom, CanHasDick! Wait, this isn't Battlefield chat, sorry.
"Freetards"! Thank you, now I know what to call them!
Wish I could mod you up, but I don't have the points so maybe I can siphon up some of the negative bangs.
Yeah right.

I assumed that it was a reference to their relentless pursuit of cash at all costs (including quality).

Sounds like Amish porn

Industrial secrets for sex with hot Russian spies. Where do I sign up?
Those European communists appear to be stealing our freedom.
Damn! *stands and claps*
Easy solution, pump your car up onto the roof.

Probably the best chance of finding LIFE in the solar system and NASA is still tipping over rocks on Mars.

Genius! That would be a great way to prove what H1-Bs are *really* about.

So, that was Meow Meow whizzing past him?
