If my government won't allow me to speak freely, to practice (or not practice) the religion I choose, to speak to other people about these thoughts... I really don't care so much if I have other unspecified rights.
In my old school district, proper civics courses were still around as of 2001, when my brother took them. This included a 1 semester course in American law, including constitutional law basics, and a 1 semester course in government. The teacher of the government class gave extra credit for voting (equivalent to an A on a weekly quiz, no big thing, but enough to get a few kids to do it once - since it was a course given mainly for seniors, many of them were able to vote). American History was a seperate class entirely. This is the Ann Arbor, MI, school district - while I have significant issues with what they've done to the math/science curricula since I went through the system, they taught civics (in the old sense) pretty well.
The teacher I had for it way back when left around that time, so I'm not certain they still have them, but as of 2001 they still existed.
I'll agree - if your MP3s are not fully and properly tagged, it doesn't work very well at all. This is why I do full and proper tagging; it's worth the effort, as it makes the browser work that much better.
However, even if you just have song name, artist, and album in the tag (all you really need) - why scroll through the full song list when you can drill through Artist->Album->Song to locate it? It seems like you're intentionally making this harder than it needs to be. Unless each and every one has a different artist and album, which seems unlikely, there's no reason to go through the Songs->All list to find a specific track.
This is not saying "There is no issue". It is saying "I don't see issues; what do you see as an issue, because I would like to know, because maybe I would run into it someday". Jesus, way to be an asshole when someone asks an honest question.
I like the browser. Other people may not. I am curious *why* they don't like it. Is that a fucking crime? No. Maybe you should give me a "I don't like it *because*" answer, not a bullshit "It sucks".
As far as I'm concerned, compilations should be filed as Album: Comp, under each and every artist appearing on the compilation - exactly the behavior iTunes provides.
What exactly is wrong with the browser they have? I have about 5000 songs, probably 400 or 500 different artists. I have no problem using their browser at all. I'm curious what your grief is with it.
Specifically, you want 19" wide, and multiples of 1.75" tall.
That would be 1RU, which would make me happy, because then I could rackmount a Gamecube. Except it would be a GameRack, because it would not be even remotely cubic.
How much CPU time do you save, total, versus how much engineer time? How much does CPU time cost? I'm going to tell you that only on the largest simulations, run many times *without tweaking of the model*, will CPU time outweigh engineer time.
If it's supposed to make ears bleed and victims gouge out their eyes, would it be played to the audience? (I doubt anything Hollywood comes up with would have the same effect.. knock on wood)
It's actually approximately as good as what our C programmers come up with; we've tested this by using the ACG stuff against equivalent hand-developed algorithms inside of MEX wrappers.
And if you're really concerned about proprietary - Scilab, man, Scilab. That said, I refuse to work for anyone who won't buy me a copy of MATLAB - I consider it the most essential tool for my job, which is fine, since everyone else in my industry does too (signal processing and control systems development - rare to find anyone who doesn't use MATLAB).
Also, if I need external libraries - MEX and wrappers. Since MATLAB incorporates BLAS and LAPACK, the linear algebra routines are already there. At this point, the slowdown is message passing from the FORTRAN routine back to MATLAB, and if that begins to take up the majority of the time in your code, odds are you didn't need to use the FORTRAN routines anyway.

Without the 1st, why bother using the 2nd to defend anything?
The government doesn't control funding for "Air America"; perhaps you are thinking of "Voice of America", which is totally different.
Too late; they already own Cingular.
Cingular is a joint venture of SBC and BellSouth. I.E. they are owned by SBC and BellSouth. Don't believe me? Read the first line of this SBC financial report.

I WAS CURIOUS WHAT HIS ISSUE WAS.

I think that's the correct behavior, myself - what do you think the correct behavior *should* be for compilations?
What would the "correct" behavior be?
As far as I'm concerned, compilations should be filed as Album: Comp, under each and every artist appearing on the compilation - exactly the behavior iTunes provides.
Sorry, but:

((Nevada) && (!Las Vegas)) isn't really "parts of the US". In the rest of the country, it remains a crime.
Depends on depth - most of my racks don't really like 19" deep components, they're much happier with 14-16" deep components.
I don't believe you.
No one has seen "Meet Joe Black" and lived to tell the tale... 'heart-stoppingly bad' wasn't just hyperbole.
Bush also believed they existed, meaning that the statement is true - they were *also* a figment of Bush's imagination.
Er, wait.
It would have been funnier with my old sig.
The one that read "I think I want to punch you in the face."
I think I have just proven the truth of my new sig, though.
I think he was complaining about the upfront cost, not the monthly fee, which is presumably the part used to support all of those services.
If I ever start waxing obsessive about my Zaurus, please punch me in the face.
Please see sig.
If P then Q is not the same as If Not P then Not Q.
You fail Logic 101 just as badly as you fail Grammar 101!

You complain about sequels, and then point to HL2, Halo2, and GTA:SA?
What the hell?
Prostitution is an illegal activity.

Obviously you have never seen Waterworld.

Read "No Logo" (Naomi Klein), then understand exactly why you aren't the target audience for branding.
