that's what makes Battlefield Earth so good...it sucks SO bad that the sequel HAS to bet better!! and don't forget licencing rights for the CD-ROM game!!
If it weren't for the fansites (especially in the early days), IRON CHEF would never have found the fanbase it has today. It has been off air here in the KTSF (san francisco) area for a while now...it is missed.
with some supervision...you could get them to try hacking the PIC 16F84 chip from Microchip...the F means it's ERASEABLE, goof, and you just nuke the chip and try again. Programmers that hang off the parallel port can be had for under $25 in kit form, and software to blast the 'F84 is FREE. PICs are turning up everywear, and the kids could even make their very own robot. (or just about anything else). Even my roomie 'programmer' doesn't get the hardware side of things...this would be a way in.
in Fry's ad today... Olympus D-600L refurbished for $397. this is a 1.4 Meg pixel w/1280 x 1024 res, 4 Meg media card 1.8" LCD and aspherical GLASS lens. this cam WAS like $999 not too long ago...i'd check it out. "Remember, your best buys always get Fried, guarenteed"...heheheh

Battle Frogfish (first one). Food Network viewers will never see that episode, as it was before the international version of IC.
