I think this relies heavily upon the message. Let's say I see a car with 5 stickers that say something related to "peace" "coexist" "pacifist" or "live and let live", then I see a car with 5 stickers that say "you can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers" "If you don't like my driving dial 1 800 piss off" and "euthanize liberals". Which vehicle am I going to expect aggressive or violent behavior from?

This is so incredibly screwed up that an article like this comes out and everyone is talking about ATC being screwed up.

There are reconnaissance aircraft flying over us, spying on us. The Russian Bear isn't doing this. The Red Chinese are not doing this. The Islamic Fundamentalists are not doing this. Our own government is doing this. And we have become so blase about this that we can ignore it as a problem and blame ATC for not being ready to handle our own government's airborne domestic spying program.

    Wow.

I was quite happy myself. Hubble has been one hell of a shot in the arm for NASA. Astronomers can use infrared and gamma ray detection, but when they publish a pixilated picture of a red, blue and green blob and say "this is groundbreaking science", the non-scientists say "right, and that pixilated picture of a red, blue and green blob cost how much?". With the Hubble and similar visible spectrum telescopes, they can show a beautiful high resolution picture of the object along side the pixilated picture of a red, blue and green blob and say "this is groundbreaking science", and the non-scientists will say "Wow, that is beautiful". Great science and even better P.R. for NASA.

You know, I actually agree with you that the taser was too much, but the guy went in there looking for trouble and got it. I even agree with him for asking the question. But you have to take responsibility for your own actions, and he would not stop yelling even after Kerry said he would answer the question. That tells me that the guy did not really want Kerry's answer, but only wanted everyone else to hear him. So yes, the taser was too much I'll admit, but his right to speak does not trump everyone else's.

I second that. It honestly does not matter if it was a Kerry, Obama, McCain, or Bush rally, if you go in and act like this person did, you will be removed. The taser is the non-lethal weapon of choice these days so it should not be a surprise that it was used. From what we can see and hear, the guy went in to disrupt the rally, although proving intent will be difficult. He got what he wanted. Yea for him.
