Well, there is always the old standby of just not buying ANYTHING that using Rambus or RDRAM in it. They can't push it very effectively if no-one is buying.

I'm not a hardware person (well, I have a general idea of what products to buy/not to buy) but isn't the path from memory to whatever a datapath as well?
This would make it the same implementation, just in a different location.

31 shots on my Kodak DC-215 wiped a set of Duracells - and everything on that is solid-state except the zoom bit.
Don't know about your batteries, but last night I got 83 (of an alleged 112) pictures on my new DC-215 (picked up a 32M flash mem card. Sweet!). Of course, I wasn't using the LCD screen to line up the shots so that might have made the difference.
(For those that haven't seen/used one, the DC215 is (IMHO) a very nice digital camera.)

Of course, the two cats I live with already effectively hunt down and consume anything mouse sized or smaller that they happen to notice crawling past. (In fact, "my" cat thinks that spiders are a delicacy:)
Appleseed-animated is barely even close to the manga. It compresses Book 2 into movie form, but leaves out the rich undertone and becomes a stereotypical shoot-the-terrorist show(and the dub adds an almost insulting supermarket-worthy soundtrack). Read the comic instead.
I strongly second this suggestion. Masamune Shirow is (IMO) the best manga artist out there. Black Magic: M-66 was a decent anime version of another of his stories (from the same storyline as Appleseed if I remember correctly).
The only series he made that adapted to anime adequatlely was Dominion Tank Police; which if you're listening Taco, you should also pick up.
