I run Firefox the whole day, the last weeks with some 30 tabs open and there are no crashing or memory problems.
Because I try to extend the battery life of my laptop I'm right now running powertop and adding up the power use of a couple of Chrome tabs easily overtakes Firefox.
I'm not clear why anyone cares about "net neutrality" anyway. We don't need more Internet regulations. Heavy regulation is what got us into this mess anyway.
See, around my ways we have net neutrality enshrined in law and anything else would be seen as not just more regulation but as regulation.
Net neutrality is by design the epitome of no regulation.
That's a large part of the lifestyle difference between NW Europe and the US.
We both have an excellent quality of life, food and housing, it's just that in the EU we've never gone into the US suburbia thing, nor see the need to drive around in a truck when a small Korean car will do nicely.
Since many years a large section of Danish households get their heating and hot water from district heating systems that run on locally produced straw.
So you mean the US did not see a similar or at least significant increase in imports from China because the US doesn't have the same strict regulations as Europe.
Sure some Chinese imports are cheaper due to their lacking environmental concerns but the vast majority had to do with people there working for peanuts, a situation that's rapidly changing.
All signs are that an increase in the price of polluting energy sources does not just boosts the development of alternatives but is especially making people and companies work more efficient.
Strange statement, if it were true then how come countries like Denmark and Germany that spend a lot of money and resources on renewable energy are doing better than many other EU countries?
Indeed, the availability of good food and healthcare is an important factor.
In the 1950's the average Dutch man was 1m73, presently he is about 1m81, that's 3 inches more over just two generations.
The present generation of young men ~20y/o is around 1m84.
But as with all statistics you have to check the small print, in 1970 I was drafted for the military (10% of males) and the average length of conscripts was already 1m86.
Another interesting observation is the correlation between length and education, the taller people tend to be better educated.

Yeah I know you're a cop 24/7/365, April 1978 I was in the London, Kentucky courthouse when a local cop was accused of entering a house without search warrant.
He wasn't wearing anything to make him out as a cop, he was off shift and thought as a private person he could get away with it but was sentenced harsher because as a cop he should have known better.
The whole story was funny like hell and I truly enjoyed it.
Rafael Mena, the mayor's Chief of Information Systems & Services, said in a statement:
Because what this Chief dipshit saw was totally wrong. And even our favourite blogger noticed it.
Have a look see in developed nations.
An honest question, why use Chrome when you can also use Chromium and not be 'the product'?
I'll stick with Firefox.

Don't compare the time-scale of the industrial revolution to the next version of Firefox.
But there is also something called freedom of information, that one is part of the Dutch legal system and I cherish it.
Not that I in any manner want to say The Netherlands has a perfect record on either, like Adolf Hitler's work Mein Kampf is still forbidden...
I like your association :)
1. Have computers.
2. Post on Slashdot.

Ah yes, but you are supposed to be the exception, just like me who has the word 'Global' as first part of his job title ;)
Besides, that same nerd would be damned to run a single distro, he'd always have a (couple of ) fall-back systems.

And connected to The Netherlands, the connection to Iceland is also on it's way.

For heat dissipation the whole construction should be in metal and you will have to maximise the outside surface area like with ribs.
The first thing that comes to mind is a cilinder with a screw cap on one end and fins on the outside.
As a ten year Kubuntu 'veteran', no I can't believe that.
It's a typical US problem, originally sanctioned by the Cheney administration.
Or stay behind.

There is no reason to limit yourself to Unity, distro's like Kubuntu and Lubuntu are available in the official Ubuntu repositories.
My tablet has it's own spell checker, why doesn't yours?
