I travel quite a bit and especially in the less developed world I stay in upmarket hotels (J.W. Marriott etc.) that generally don't any longer charge for internet.
In my experience these things improve rapidly, last year I was in a Best Western in Aberdeen Scotland and they had some outrageous price like 15 pounds, for 24 hrs. of access, on check out I complained and they gave it to me for the price of a 1 hr. ticket, 5 pounds.
This year it's for 'free', or in other words; included in the room price.
Virtually all restaurants now have free internet.
During the last few years the UK was really expensive, at a time that most hotels in The Netherlands already offered net access for free.
Smooth upgrade. Finally!
The Neo900 project aims to provide a Fremantle (Maemo 5) compatible successor of N900, with faster CPU, more RAM and LTE modem, basing efforts on an already existing, mature and stable free platform - the OpenPhoenux GTA04.
We'll provide both complete, ready to use devices in N900 case, and motherboard replacements for your current device. Neo900 will also support all operating systems available for GTA04 (QtMoko, SHR, Debian, Replicant,...)
It's about pictures the two of you took with mutual consent when all was great, I know Slashdotters aren't supposed to ever get in such a situation but it is quite common.
The sick part comes when after a break-up one of the partners posts them on the net out of revenge for the break-up.
(First find your bike) and then you should give KDE a go.
Low on memory, totally configurable, really nice well integrated applications and an interface many people will understand right away.
As a bonus it has excellent support and future planning.
I don't care one cent about the Android compatibility, I want an Open Linux phone, a device that'll run things like Thunderbird. or Kmail and doesn't make me an entry in Google's or MS database for exploitation.
And what is on a world scale relevant about a single market?
Besides, what stops you from doing like the Rest Of the World and buying your own phone?
Between the first Motorola I bought nearly 20 years ago and my present Nexus 4 I've never had one with a contract.
Though Intel will be open to an alternative to X11 they are in no way obliged to carry an immature release just because Canonical wants to push theirs.
Although large companies could and should pick up the fight, not only for morality but also because snooping for a third party is supposedly not their core business (...), the real power is with the sheeple that allow these laws in the first place.
So pardon me but I don't feel in the slightest sorry for Americans on the receiving end of this abuse.
This type of cooling has been done before, all it requires is a steady supply of liquid Nitrogen and that's easy though not particularly cheap.
Typically you drill the circulating tubes for the Nitrogen at a fairly close spacing, the closer the quicker it'll freeze.
Because soil is a fair insulator once you have a hefty chunk frozen you don't need to do much to keep it cold.
No worries, this technology is not exactly new or untried.
Over here in The Netherlands our soil is rather soft and soggy yet we manage (at a cost) to build subway and other tunnels.
Freezing of the surrounding soil untill the concrete is well in place is a common technology.
It's done with liquid Nitrogen that's trucked in from existing factories, once a sizeable chunk of soil is frozen it can withstand a few days without additional Nitrogen.
As a long term KDE and Kubuntu user I am again surprised about the hostility it gets from some people.
KDE is about the only fully integrated and configurable desktop experience that's available on Linux.
It might be Gnome had it's years with community traction but that's in the past, KDE and Kubuntu are the present.
That said I quite see the attraction of a Unity, E17 or LXDE, but they are neither fully integrated nor particularly configurable.
The Open Suse and Sabayon versions of KDE are nice but are suffering the lack of the Debian package system.
Sounds like the place where you want to spoof your MAC address.

But we can try to help highlighting it.
So what stops nVidia selling a not dissimilar card without this feature and with a penguin logo instead?

It's not only about pics you send, it's especially about pics that were made with mutual consent and at a time all was well.
This is about people that were in a romantic (or sexual) engagement that went sour, the internet is only got involved after the fact..
You will understand once it happens to you.
I absolutely concur on Razor being an excellent shot at a light QT based desktop.
Low on memory, totally configurable, really nice well integrated applications and an interface many people will understand right away.

Why does a discussion about a single distro with unusual ideas about the DE have anything to do with the general health of Linux?
You're right about parts availability
You're right, us in Europe can get the parts but we don't have to worry about your zombies.
+1 Insightful.
Nothing funny about this reality.

-- Dice Holdings, Inc: You suck. Kindof a lot. (Make Tor work again, losers)
And what makes you think Dice Holdings is immune to NSA orders?
Or do you want the likes of timothy to get locked up forever?

The NSA isn't going to be applying that kind of brute force decryption effort on love letters between you and your girlfriend.
I know it's a stale meme and I can hardly believe I'm using it;

As I mentioned in another post they'll likely use liquid Nitrogen as a coolant, something that works fine even from cracked pipes.

There's a reason I suggested this option: http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=4125869&cid=44665565, I'm glad the Japanese read Slashdot :)
Uhh, KDE is an upstream project not only available as Kubuntu but also very successful with distro's like Sabayon and Open Suse.
