Yes, there is and it is the requirement of all people that receive a government security clearance to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Anyone that signs this agreement, which you must sign to obtain a security clearance, is not allowed to write, talk about or publish anything that is classified which is not cleared by the DoD to be published.
This was introduced in 1985 during Reagan Administration.
The law clearly states that those with security clearances can only disclose what the government says they can disclose. This is not a independent evaulation, but a rubber stamp of Carnivore use.
The article goes on to talk about other sun spots that have caused minor disturbances and gives a nice little warning about not looking at the sun during this time."
I will be sure not to do my usual routine of going out every morning and staring at the Sun
because of this large Sunspot.
Sometimes when I read Slashdot I wonder if these guys ever get from behind their computers to see what the Sun looks like?
It's making me wonder whether we'll ever be able to report bugs that involve anything more than cursory examination. This kid went all the way, decompiled the program, posted every detail about how to determine if your system is vulnerable, how to fix it, etc, etc... and although he's doing EVERYONE a service, it's illegal to have helped like that. No one's going to sue him, I'm sure, but the point is, he broke the law
He is a German Citizen is not subject the the DCMA because it is a American law and this occured in Germany.
That is because PGP 2.6.2 is easy to check the source code and doesn't have ADK's. It does have the encryption to self option, but that still only allows the receipent and the sender to view the message. With ADK any Tom, Dick or Harry at the Company can read every message without the knowledge of the sender or receiver.
First their were reports that the Kursk crew was tapping on the hull, then there were numerous false reports due to speculation about why it sunk.
From the Norwegian video and examination the submarine was most likely destroyed by a missle being detonated in the forward part of the hull. This happened to a US sub in 1968 and wasn't the first time for a Russian sub.
Sorry but humans are destroying the earth beause there are too many of us!
Please do your part to solve the problem and kill yourself at your earliest convenience
There is no need to since I am going to die anyway. Don't worry the Earth will still be here for a few more billion years, I just hope that some form of life evolves from us that isn't so selfish and self-consumed with burning CO2 into the atmosphere.
This is funny! What a gaff! The Polar Ice caps are all going to melt and LA and New York will be under water.
What we really need is a major disaster to wipe out about 3 billion people the world over. Sorry but humans are destroying the earth beause there are too many of us!
Hey, I will wait to see what the university
review of the system says. I'm not going to let some CS BS artist that wants to apologize for the FBI's snooper machine sway me one bit.
What if the FBI had a machine that could swift through all the snail mail to check for contents
that could be illegal. Therefore every person in the United States would have their mail scanned for illegal content just to find a few criminals they have warrants on.
The Los Angeles County police agencies had a similar type of operation that targeted drug dealers using pay phones. The problem is that thousands of innocent people had their private conversations taped by the police.
This email snoop has the potential to be abused and that is the fundamental problem with it's use.
The real solution is for the FBI to obtain a warrant and then have the ISP forward a copy of every email sent to the user. To give the FBI the ability to scan every email header is a infringement of the Fourth amendment against unreasonable search and seizure and the right to be secure in our homes and papers.
Now why should anyone allow their computer
to be used freely for a purpose that is designed to make people money? Unlike the SETI and encryption key programs that are a benefit to
science in general, the use of computers to make a profit for multi-national corporations is not a good idea.
I am not convinced that this will lower drug or reseach cost, but only make more money for corporations by reducing their research cost.
So if researchers that are going to make large
fees and profits for corporations want to use my computer the fee will be.01 cents per minute.
Nothing is free, especially my computer, electic bill and time.
The answer to this question is the use of spread spectrum (SS) technology. In about 10-20 years SS will be the very latest technology and band limits as we know them will be a thing of the past.
Paul Crouch:....I want you all to listen carefully. This is a word - a prophetic word that came to me on September the 25th.... The ministry of TBN is about to explode...... It is time, once and for all, to take your sword in hand, the mighty sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Speak it out. Proclaim defeat to the enemies of God. Stand up, everybody. In the Name of Jesus, we proclaim defeat to the enemies of God..... The enemies of God are defeated in the Name and by the blood of Jesus Christ. They are under our feet by the victory of Jesus Christ when He said, "Behold, I am He Who was dead, but am alive forevermore, and have the keys of death and of hell." We receive it in Jesus' Name. Take authority over the principalities and powers that dare to threaten this ministry. I have raised it up from infancy for My own purposes, saith the Lord. Just as I commanded Ezekiel to prophesy life to dry bones, and they took on life, so I am commanding you to prophesy death to the threats, challenges, and bondages the enemy has placed on TBN. Command them to cease and desist, and you will see this dilemma die and disappear before your eyes. God, we proclaim death to anything or anyone that will lift a hand against this network and this ministry that belongs to You, God. It is Your work, it is Your idea, it is Your property, it is Your airwaves, it is Your world, and we proclaim death to anything that would stand in the way of God's great voice of proclamation to the whole world. In the Name of Jesus, and all the people said Amen! (Praise The Lord Trinity Broadcasting Network November 7, 1997)
