How do they come up with these processor names, you ask? An astute question, one that requires some of Intel and AMD's most closely-kept company secrets. A friend of mine who used to work for Intel managed to smuggle the following Perl script out, shortly before he was fired. Here it is:
#!/bin/perl
# Copyright (C) 1997 Intel Corporation
# This is a proprietary Intel perl script.
So if we run this script, we can see where the names come from:
sg1 237%./pnames.pl
Cortium II
sg1 238%./pnames.pl
Pentalon IV
sg1 239%./pnames.pl
Penteres III
sg1 240%./pnames.pl
Athalon Pro
sg1 241%./pnames.pl
Pentitan II
sg1 242%./pnames-pl
Maxymede MMX
Please show discretion when you refer this script to others. It is, after all, an Intel proprietary secret and should therefore only be shared with others on a "need-to-know" basis.
Its not. This has been in Alpha stage for a while now. Besides, aol DESPISES Microsoft (back to the IM Wars), so of course they'll want people of Windows.
A while ago they were going to buy BeOS and make their own OS with their own computer.
I agree. If it were up to me, Ralph Nader would be president. But we all know that unless something drastic happens, the green party will never hold presidential office.
How the hell did Democratic and Republicans become the big two in the first place?

Online Voting?

Not quite, for a number of reasons.
1. If people dont care, they wont vote no matter what.
2. A lot of the people who don't vote are poor, who wouldn't have computer/online access anyway.
3. It wouldn't be anonymous. This is one of the big things that makes the US democracy what it is today. Even if they deleted all logs, they could still have people around the screen seeing what their doing and influencing them. Its nothing like a closed booth.
4. Since its just a computer, you wouldnt have to show a real voters picture ID. If I didnt care, I could pull one of these "I'll give you my Georgia ID # for $20, and you can vote for whoever you want." Or any variation of that.
Napster is not "lawbreaking" and/or an "illegal activity." The courts are decididing what should happpen day by day, but as of now its not illegal. "Those supporting Napster and MP3.com are just peddling in stolen material." I am an artist, i dont have any illegal MP3's, and i support both Napster and MP3. I have turned over my music to companies such as these in hope that people will enjoy my music and to prove that these services can be used legally. I support them both, do i peddle stolen materials? moron
you said typically more than 50% vote?!? The voting attendance for even Presidential campaigns is around 48% on a good year. And thats just of registered voters. Then there are all the people who are eligible but dont even register. Since anyone reading this is way above the average intelligence level of America, this may seem far fetched to you, but half of america doesn't know who are vice president is.
MP3 technology -- a format which jumped from obscurity to ubiquity in 1999 -- was has turned out to be revolutionary. 1999?!? MP3's were huge on irc, not to mention the sites oth.net, allmp3.com, etc. that were established WAY before 1999. Winamp has been out for what, over 5 years? How can you possibly say it was 'obscure' before then?
Alright! The Itanium 64.

Why would Hollywood care? What laws are being borken by recording tv shows?

How does he get a name/address to sue? If nap gives it out its violation of privacy, no?
