It is an amazing achievment keeping a space station around for so long. It has taught cosmonaut's alot about living in space and it has contributed greatly to research science.
I say keep it going as long as possible. Just because it's not new doesn't mean it can't contribute. I mean it's already built and running. Nothing to shoot up into space just repair it and keep going, Maybe build onto it.
Why not scrape that overpriced ISS and spend the money on expanding and improving Mir?
Could it be American arogance? Just because the US did not build it does not mean it's not worthwhile.

I wonder how much of the 500 million was given to Russia. because if say one logo on a rocket is worth say 10 million why not slap like two dozen logo's on there. Throw in the X prize and suddenly you have a profitable business sending people into space. Not to mention how much some.com gazillionaire geek would be willing to pay for a ticket.

I'm new to programming (currentley enrolled in programming course.) so if my question is totally retarded forgive me.
But it would seem to me Extending the amount of IP addresses would slow down the net.
To find a web page you don't know the name of you use a search engine ie. a coffee distributer in your hometown. You know have a zillion more refrences for the search engine to check = Longer search time.
Shouldn't the priority be using addresses in a more efficient manner. Or is that what IPv6 is about?
I don't get it? What are the redeming quality's of this little project? Who could benifit from this? Mabey just mabey there is some quadrapalegics that can bob their heads like a parrot. But speech recognition still would be a better way to go. The only thing more rediculous than this project is posting it on/. Scrach that actually replying to this post has got to be even worse. still can anybody give me on redeaming quality of this project?
