I dunno why people are bothering to complain, Maverick Meerkat will be all about trying out new things, they'll scrap whatever doesn't work. The non LTS are just beta runs for LTSs which they sell to companies, and we're all super lucky beta-testers.
Lucid is LTS, you can hang onto it till the next LTS if you want stability, ubuntu are more interested in innovation and moving with the times.
You noted marketing the most? Well go figure.
Please don't spread assumptions.
I used to work for the Irish Cancer Society and I highly resent all this cynical speculation.
It doesn't take much searching on Google to find all the great work they do.
How much goes to research vs. screening vs. education vs. awareness vs. treatment completely depends on which cancer charity, with many giving 100% to research.
I was just thinking that, I mean BBC would never be so unprofessional (I hope). The "article" was even copied and pasted from somewhere else.
Loads of poor quality little websites made articles about Malamanteau yesterday to try and cash in on the fact it was the 4th most searched topic in Google trends in the hours following the posting of the comic.
LoL you just made all that up.
Trolling!
How are the tides any more likely to "siphon off energy" than say a cliff? Or a sea turtle swimming against the current?
I once sat on the bus behind an old lady talking to a young boy about how she was against wind power in case we would run out of wind. I wanted to scream CONVECTION at her.. and I've a similar feeling here.
Maybe if we have a problem with things that are happening we need to get out from behind our computers and have these discussions in real life. Anyone you meet on the internet is pretty likely to be pro an internet without censorship. We need to find people who don't know what "in RL" stands for and get them worried about this.
What can we do?
We can ring the ISPs and complain?
Explain the problem to friends and families and get them to complain too ?
Write to local newspapers?
Write to local politicians?
Other ideas?
The internet is a great way to spread information but it so often never transfers into real life.

Hi! Could someone explain to me, 'cause I'm not so tech-savvy, how this can happen unintentionally? Thanks!
I'm afraid if I delete my account my parents will stop talking to me..
Here's the blog entry explaining what's new: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/05/understanding-web-to-find-short-answers.html
Hope it helps!

Hee hee.. aww.. I guess I'm not used to being surrounded by cleverness. I'll get better! Honest!
I thin there would be less public outcry if we stuffed the hole with puppies and kittens.
You don't read licence agreements? o.O
