    If this man is allowed to cheapen the price of an education in this way it could lead to disaster for the Educational Establishment. The government must step in and regulate this market before people get the idea that they're paying too much for a piece of paper with fancy calligraphy. Students must be forced to enslave themselves with massive debt for years in order to enrich the Establishment or they won't believe that there is any value in all the bullshit that is shoveled at them in the name of a Degree.

    There is a basic error in this idea that because there are roughly equal amounts of "slant" towards various partisan ideological points of view that this somehow adds up to being "neutral". Objectively neutral would be straight to the facts without ideological slant at all, if that's even possible given the nature of the subjects.

    This goes to something Orin Kerr calls the "Equilibrium Adjustment" theory of constitutional law. In short, if technological or other changes have altered the balance between government power and civil rights, the Supreme Court could find ways to adjust the balance.

    Archival quality DVD-R or even CD-R is probably a better bet in the long run. Those formats are so pervasive now that they probably won't just up and die for a very long time.

    Well yeah, I get that, but it seems to me that the "magical thinking" of the OP was more on the line of "I don't know what causes X, so it must be some sentience that does it."
    It's the sort of belief that says "well, somebody had to create the universe, if that wasn't God, who was it?" That's quite a bit different from the error that makes people think they can explain quantum mechanical concepts using the logic of classical physics.

    Generally, you also have to sign and return the letter to be able to collect whatever pittance is granted to members of the class if and when the case finally pays out.

    "What better way to kill the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) bill for good than to nuke its author right out of Congress? That's what a group of Reddit users are trying to do after forming a Political Action Committee, or PAC. They want Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX.) booted out of office, and will do everything they can to see it happen."

    If they succeed in booting Smith in the primary, that should put some fear into others who might otherwise support SOPA/PIPA style legislation.
