No, I think it is just the same: they fought and died for things that wouldn't help them or their children having a better life. I think that there were better means to reach the same (or even better) results in concerning the life-style today without fighting a war.

ASP wasn't even released until 2002. That's even two years after PHP 4.

The first release version of ASP.Net came out in 2002, but I think they were talking about "classic ASP" which was released as part of the NT4 Option Pack back in 1997 or 1998.

They're not hard to find. You don't even need to live near an Apple store: I went to Best Buy and saw a whole table of iPads.
