Luke 19:27 is a parable. It wasn't a command given to his believers.
The other two are NOT Jesus commands to his followers either.
Be honest, there are plenty of Atheists who would kill religious people if given a chance. I've have had the pleasure of speaking to a number of them personally.
I don't need to mod you down.I don't need to mod you anything. The fact that you had to strain at gnats to try to make your point shows you for who you really are. Enjoy your smug ignorance.
Actually, 911 proved you don't need bombs on planes. But 911 was the last time passengers will be passive against an active terrorist. Air Marshals haven't stopped a single active hijacker, but passengers have.
Guess what, we're still thinking about past security failures, not the next one.
Remember, people have committed atrocities in the name of Jesus Christ.
Give me a single quote by Jesus Christ, telling his people to "Kill infidels" or its equivalent. Just one.
People kill. Some religions promote killing, others do not. Religions that promote killing ("Smite them in the neck" ) are not peaceful. Those that promote peace ("Turn the other cheek") do not.
Moral equivocation is why you cannot distinguish the difference between Islam and Christianity (or Judaism, Buddhism, Taoism).
And yes, all religions have followers that committed horrible crimes, even atheism has, It doesn't excuse it or make them morally equivalent,
But here is a test, pee in a cup with a crucifix (or bible or...) and see what happens. Pee on a Koran, and see what happens. Go ahead, I dare you. One would be called "art" and the other "Racist bigotry", morally equivalent... right?
Masters taxed serfs, and you call that civilization?
True civilization would mean that every person was civilized, acted civil towards others, and we wouldn't need a "government of men" to "rule over men", and thus,no need of taxes.
But in a Democratic Socialist society, the masses can vote themselves new benefits and tax everyone until everyone runs out of money. Meanwhile the task masters of government laugh as they skim off the public trough while offering bribes in the form of social programs to the masses, favors to the rich, all to get themselves re-elected.
The reason Buffet et al want higher taxes, is because he wants more government. He won't pay higher taxes, he'll avoid them just as he does now. But what he does know, that most stupid liberals don't is that those taxes will hit someone else who cannot afford the lawyers and accountants to avoid them. This is the dirty little secret to taxes that hardly anyone is actually paying attention to. Taxes are regressive. All of them.
That's a dirty word. Because if a Conservative or Libertarian used that word, the liberals would simply accuse them of "hating grandma, polluting the air and killing kittens and puppies.
However the reality is, that American Corporations are already being eaten alive by Global Taxes that are less than here (among other things). Killing Puppies.
Fortunately, we live in a Republic, where we don't get to vote on popular beliefs. As such, gays wouldn't be allowed to marry, blacks would have their own "separate but equal" areas, Jews would be in gas chambers, Irish need not apply here etc.
Taxes are evil, you just gave excellent reason why.
They are also necessary. Which is why we should work VERY hard to lower them for everyone, INCLUDING the very rich.
But as long as you have people getting elected based upon GIVING favors (Social Programs, Corporate Welfare, Tax Breaks etc) to get elected, this will never change.
What we need is way to track who voted for taking more money from people (taxes) and who voted for more spending, regardless of on what they voted for. How many people think our government Spends too much already, on programs, services and agencies that aren't actually worthwhile? Does anyone actually think we spend too little (besides Bernie???) ??
And that is just ONE example of where speed matters. Sometimes, speed is simply whether or not you actually do something with the computer. Something that takes 45 minutes on one computer vs 4 minutes on another, is often not done on the slower computer.
The problem is, too many people, like yourself, do not understand what new computers can actually do, vs old computers. Because you don't see what you cannot do, because you cannot do them, so you don't even think about doing those tasks.
Think of it this way, do you download a movie that takes 48 hours to download, sucking up all available bandwidth while doing so? How about if it takes 5 minutes for the same movie? Is it worth an extra $5 to get the better speed? $10? $50? and some price point, it is worth it.. Never investigating what you're missing means losing opportunities.
Regulations do not, in fact, guarantee anything. Neither do government inspectors designed to make people adhere to said regulations.
My friend has a house, where the framing of the house, didn't match the foundation. Build in the modern age, with all the regulations and inspections that were supposedly supposed to avoid such things. Who pays for the problem? Not the contractor, who is out of business, not the inspector who failed to inspect properly, not the regulators who failed to regulate this failure. The owner of the house pays.
Pretending that Regulations solve problems doesn't solve problems. Sure, regulations help. but so does paying attention when attention is needed. In this case, NOBODY caught shoddy workmanship/design even though it was heavenly regulated.
I got under bid plenty of times when I worked alone. I got called back to fix plenty of "cheaper" consultants, who didn't know what they were doing. The fact is, my dad was right, you can do it right, or do it cheap, but seldom can you do it both right and cheap.
Do it right, every time. Let that be your calling card. The people who value quality will pay for it. They tend to be the best customers as well.
Some other companies I know use 10 year old desktops
Companies that do not value worker's time. While most of the time, desktops sit idle, waiting for humans, the rare times it needs the extra performance/speed, is enough to warrant investing in new equipment. Two minute boot times to 20 second boots (SSD) is 100 seconds of productivity every time it happens. Making it more likely that machines are powered off (lower power costs) as well.
Plenty of IT work is done exactly to that spec, almost like Larry the Cable Guy was the project lead, "Geterdone!"
And you can see this in all the projects that looked fantastic in concept, but failed to execute on practicality or worse, Security.
Build me a website they said. Just get it running they said. We'll add security later they said. Just get the job done they said. We'll fix it later they said.
My understanding, Hyperlook is good for both Local and medium distance travel, things that both cars and trains would normally work. Being both On Demand and fast (HSR speeds).
It only makes sense. Uber can reduce the largest cost of taxi services by eliminating the temperamental drivers. This way, they can provide a consistent service that is the same everywhere.
. It is the sort of thing that you configure once, and then install on every iOS device before you hand it to the use
Easy to do if you only have a few devices, and an IT staff to do it.
What most people don't have any clue about is scaling needed in organizations, who don't have adequate IT staffing to do it. People who DON'T work in IT, don't really understand what it actually takes, and in general, don't really want to know either. In this case, I can almost assure you the IT staff was too busy actually doing their OTHER duties, and didn't have time to configure a "phone" properly. After all, we'll never need THOSE features.
All normal people see is $699-1000 one time cost for a new phone. They don't see that it is only good for 2 years, requires $50,000 MDM and $25/year licensing cost per device.
This will change. I am sure that some well intentioned CongressCritter is already working on a law that requires anyone receiving federal dollars implement a MDM Management system for all devices that agency owns/operates.
Which will cause many of those agencies to drop buying their people smart phones, and offer up stipends instead.
Most Enterprise Management systems do not have that ability. Specifically with Apple devices, those security settings are such that the user is the defacto owner of the device. While it is possible to set these systems up so there is a back door way in, it requires a huge amount of IT involvement to do so, and IT resources are often very slim.
IF you look at the last mile as the Monopoly, and solve THAT problem, then Competition can exist and bring better service.
Think of it this way, ROADS aren't paid for by UPS and only UPS trucks are allowed. We have local roads that can be used by UPS, FEDEX, DHL and just about anyone else.
We should do the same with Fiber, where the Municipality owns / maintains the Fiber, and provides access to providers such as ATT, Comcast, Verizon etc... Providing real competition where it counts, without the need for Franchise Agreements between cities and the monopolies.

Ah yes, the Somalia strawman. Does that even work?
Socialism has failed more in its short life than just about anything else. But keep thinking this time will be different!

I'm not jealous, and that is less becoming than being petty? Wow

Why I am a libertarian. In a single sentence. Keep in mind, most of our Taxes are based upon this very thing.
And they want Trump or Hillary for POTUS, too.
FTFY
Wait for it! When you realize that we are the ones making our own cages, then you'll realize who the "they" are.
