My kids could walk to school, we have nice parks and beautiful tree lined streets and a cute downtown. We don't have Major city perks, nor the problems that also come with big city.
My point is you have choices in life. Don't complain about the choices you've made. And don't pretend you don't have choices. I don't complain about not making six figures because I chose not to live in the city where that was possible. I do enjoy my garden, roses and yard.

They put in rent controls, and when people finally get to the point where it doesn't make sense for the owners to keep renting, and sell, change occupation, move on, leaving NO place for renters people are somehow offended.
The issue is that in a free market, it moves with efficiencies, with less than free markets, it still moves, but with less efficiencies. To the point that people get used to inefficient markets and expect them to last forever, which is impossible. It is like basic economics aren't understood.

3) Natural laws apply like this. You are alone on an island. what you do, affects nobody but yourself. You can speak as you wish, worship whichever rock you want, dress (or not) as you like, go where you like. You add a person to that island, almost nothing changes. Add another, and another. Natural laws haven't changed, but society rules (traditions, culture etc) does.
Concepts like "Right to be forgotten" don't work in Natural law. Because if you move to the other side of the island, you cannot require something of the person you're avoiding to "forget you" (and all that they remember about you) This is where I have a problem with modern "rights" that require of others things that people wouldn't have alone on an island. Think of it this way, do you have a right to FREE healthcare? Why can you require of someone else, that they provide for you, for any reason? How does this differ from Slavery or indentured servitude ?
The problem is, that we have muddled the differences between Rights and Privileges, and often reversing the two, where a Privilege becomes a "Right" and a Right becomes a Privilege.

How about, you know, making sure your "Internet of things" devices are properly secured, and have regular audits of to ensure they aren't compromised?
