I had something similar happen, where all of the sudden, one day the battery wouldn't even last a half day. I tried multiple things (restore, hard boot, etc), but what seemed to fix it was resetting the phone (settings, general, reset all settings).
My boss was laughing at me, and maybe one or two weeks later the same thing happened to him.
