    next step is to rewrite bochs in java in which we can run vmware running ubuntu with wine loading qemu running reactos to load a java envirment for flash... (i'd include java script but it's too fast these days...)

    seriously though, one site less doesn't solve much. it's a matter of a fucked up society and education system... (though a simple radio button asking for the chatters age might avoid some of the unpleasant meetings... in an ideal world)

    the literature available does seem to get worse as you progress in math and physics... i don't know how the state of things is where you currently are, but here by far not all the professors are that good at teaching and you often end up having to learn things on your own. but what is even worse is that the books available seldom provide exercises (and solutions) which are a great help when embarking on self study...

    first let me say that i'm not a us citizen. i don't see how major isp offlinning in the states makes sense - if there's a global attack, on the web shouldn't there be a central unified response? whatever happens i think it's too dangerous to let your gov decide to do it on it's own and hurt traffic. if the rest of the world doesn't feel threatened, would you trust your gov to decide? though like many others here i can't image an emergency which'd require taking the net down...
