    Okey, they hold the microphone and they are the owner of whatever they recorded. So i wonder, could i sue them for libel, misrepresentation and in fact for not recording everything that i say, and even worst, for picking only selected phrases of my speech and thus causing me bodily harm (don't ROFL, i already did)???

    In most countries, this "mandate" requirements was never issued. The pact was signed secretly, behind the curtain, and without the knowledge of the public, and in some cases (i know of a few countries) even without the consent of the parliament.
    Nevertheless, the real issue is the unconvinient publicity of the ACTA, which could make all these "hidden" deals very hard to strike. Which is actually a real democracy at work.

    What is the common thing between all these players? You are correct: ffmpeg library. Once you have this little tiny tini library ported for your favorite CPU, IT DOES NOT MATTER what UI you are actually using. If you are computer savvy enough, you could pretty well do with command line parameters only, and btw, it is how many "video" servers are actually implemented. Example: Sonic.

    IF, and only IF, ELSE what? Because, you know, it very rare for the big companies to actually invent something new. They do prefer to buy it. Look GOOGLE for example, except their search engine and gmail (which now is becoming more and more bloated), there is NOTHING else that they did invent. Literally. ZERO.
