The site is being hosted on a server within Canada? There is a few probable sceneries about what the government might do about it, and none of them is going to be liked by the scientists.

Nah. Somebody will pick it up someday just to have it exposed in a museum, unless it get hit by a meteor or such of course.
I knew it was only the matter of time when somebody with a good pedigree will again hit C++ in favor of C or Java or... Python? (meh)
