    My ex-wife is one of those dedicated teachers. However, all the effort she put into saving the children left very little of herself for her husband! That is part of the reason she is now 'ex'. Hope you're having a better experience than I did!

    What is required is that the parents take turns being bullies, sadistic condescending teachers etc. and creating an environment as dysfunctional and alienating as a typical public school. That way the home schooled child can grow up to be just as maladjusted as everyone else. Simple!

    That's not homeschooling. That is just what one is supposed to do as a parent. That anyone would put their trust in the average teacher to do it right is beyond me. And most of them ARE average or worse. A good teacher is a rare thing.

    Huh. I worked for a Japanese company for ten years and I can tell you that many (not all) of the Japanese people I worked with on a daily basis were often outwardly 'friendly to foreigners' but quite often would let slip their true disdain for pretty much anyone (or anything) that was not Japanese, especially Americans, Korean, Chinese and dark skinned people in general. A very strong sense of their own superiority. Anecdotal perhaps, but true.

    He's talking out his ass. Chicken/beef/turkey pot pie is an American dish. It can be good but not always. Constructed similarly to a traditional steak and kidney pie. Pie crust filled with meat and vegetables and gravy and covered with the pie crust top. Baked in an oven. Often found in the frozen food section. It does not resemble haggis in any way.
