I agree. Honor, however, is objective. What I think is honorable, you might not. Ergo, what OS('s) I think are honorable , you might not see as honorable.
Uptime/downtime isn't objective. Hence our frustration with MS.
Loved the speech. Love the language. I've been able to pick up Perl very quickly, and do a considerable amount of cool stuff with it. Larry Wall is certainly a man worthy of respect in my mind.
Wouldn't that be interesting. Didn't we learn anything from the AT&T breakup? They broke up into a bunch of mini-bells, and now, everyone is merging back together again! I guess it would be interesting to see what would happen if they did break up, I suppose. Any thoughts or predictions?
Congratulations to O'Reilly & Associates on their award. I am a huge fan of their books and use them regularly as references. Congrats to you, too, Slashdot!
I must say this is quite a website. Too bad the animations are simple gif animations and not avi movies. I'd rather send those than Christmas cards, next year!
I'm a system administrator for MCI WorldCom where we use VAX/VMS extensively. In VAX, FUBAR stands for a Failed UniBus Address Register. I've never dealt with one, but I'm told that's what it means in computing terms.
What is important in an OS? Honor

Another sure-fire sign that the government is working for US!
The Peeps pages are truly ingenious. I wish I had the time to do that stuff.
I enjoyed shredding Microsoft's page.
I hired Mr. Crabs to take my case. He offered me the Taco Bell meal upfront.
What's up with Fishdot? I can't say I'm impressed.

Ignorance annoys me.

...we could go for several decades without problems. Definitely a very cool product.
We are all nerds. Or else we wouldn't be here. But even nerds need to laugh. And cry. And ..... Nevermind. Point is: LIGHTEN UP!

All the more reason to go with a cable modem.
