    SoBig is an email virus, which spreads by stupid people double clicking anything that emailed to them. It has also had 5 or so versions.

    MS Blaster is a virus spread by a hole in Windows RPC(no idea what it is called in WinLand), and attacked stupid people who did not either patch the computer, or use a firewall.

    The only comman elements are Stupid people, and Windows.

    Quake 3 had an SMP mode.

    It made it slower on my box (duel C466).

    Plus you can run, say quake-3-server-only on one proc, and client on the other ;)

    Nope.
    Suns are not very fast, they are stable, and capable of some pritty funky stuff, like hotswappable-ness (rip out a processor, without downtime, major funkyness).

    Dam right you do, I'd love to own one, we have a couple of Xerox printers running of Ultra 30s, which are no longer used (replaced all our printers with Windows solution which sucks, and no longer used as intenteded ;), I so want to nick one.

    You should use the compiler the apps you are running are going to be compiled with, i.e. GCC/CW? for Mac and MS VC++/Intel for Wintel.

    I was at an IGDA meet a few weeks ago, and the discussion was on Women in Gaming (which the IGDA have a forum on).
    The idea of "female games" and "male games" was not taken very well. Most women gamers actually play action games, while it is the men (males 18+) who play the "female games" (The Sims[1], EyeToy, Pokemon etc). While the games played by kids did was the same regardless of gender.

    [1] I'd argue that this has more to do with the Naked Patch than anything else ;-)

    I do, its small, but there. Having a internet enabled PDA is very usefully in IT.

    They're to clunky to be useful as a phone

    Bluetooth, it sits in your pocket, you speak via a head set.

    and to small to be a real laptop

    but just a great size for a PDA, that is check email, beep when you got a docs appontment, read the PDF specs for your new server on train, play DOOM duing a crappy user met, check a server at the pub via VNC...

    software is completely proprietary

    Mostly, which is bad. But it does support J2ME, so you can write and download pre-writing apps for it.
