Same agent, same company, add a letter. Now it becomes a 'different company' but more importantly one 'based' in the US so they can dodge the question easier. Does work done in a vnc session off a server farm in Seattle qualify as 'done in the US'?

I used to work on this, and can say that its quite a robust system. Runs about 8000 POTS lines or 2000 xDSL, and also supports DS1 and TDM lines. Backbone is OC3 ATM with other options available. VOIP should be done now/soon but I don't believe Sprint went that route. The system has Echo Cancellation and all the other required perks to ensure good quality.

(wife works for a senator) For legislative issues, call your congressman or senator's DC office as they deal in the political/legislative work. Their local/state offices deal mostly with constituant services, and would only forward your comments up to the DC office. Asking for a call back will ensure that they actually examine your comments, and hopefully you'll get more than a form letter. Remember that mail to DC is extremely backlogged after the 9/11 incident while it was all sitting in semi trucks waiting for irradiation. Instead, use their fax number.
