    Until, of course, people start thinking you are up to no good because you don't want to participate in Facebook. I'm already getting some static from people since I closed my account. Fuck that noise, and fuck that way of thinking, but people are becoming more willing to give up freedom for the sense of protection from 'bad people' and privacy for convenience. It's pretty sad.

    I have my IDE set up to auto-publish every time it re-builds....and it builds every time I touch a file...which happens quite often.

    I've found that my older multi-CPU systems age more gracefully...the UI doesn't get as sluggish despite the OS getting heavier and heavier.

    I have four cores. I run an IDE and an AppServer at all times, which uses up at least two cores. Then there is my bit-torrent app and...

    Seems like you can easily use all those cores.

    You might think it an inconsequential 'freedom' that one doesn't have to identify themselves to law enforcement officers. You might think that convenience trumps standing up for one's freedom. Rachner didn't. I agree with his choice. "Papers, Please" is something my German relatives have told me about from personal experience.

    Some people are just more willing than others to make sacrifices for their country and their countrymen.
