Having a read of the section around multi-threading / multi-processes it looks like this is the Google OS.
In the same way that widgets on the desktop have become common place, google gear widgets would replace these...and eventually larger pieces of software.
Well at the time (last June) they cost over £500. I needed a phone, couldn't be arsed with pay as you go, so I was a very happy customer.
£300 for a Sony Clie?? now THAT is expensive (www.expansys.com). The damn thing needs a phone with Bluetooth to connect to the internet when you're on the move - it hasn't even got a wifi card.
It's on a one year contract at £30 a month - all calls and texts are free. Which I think is quite a fair old deal considering the cost of the phone in the shops on it's own at the time was about £500.
None of this security will work as long as you can download files to a phone via a PC the.
Take the Nokia 5510 for example, Nokia has put digital rights management in place (ala Sony Memory Stick).... this can now be circumnavigated quite easily. The cat is out of the bag, trying to stuff the blighter back in using a crowbar will never work!

These people practically invented the term! They already have the largest intelligence database in the world - and no, I'm not a crackpot conspiracy theorist (it says so on the nsa/gchq website).

I don't need an e-mail address for my phone when you've got WAP - just use Hotmail / Yahoo. Yes it might be slow, but how else can you connect to the internet from anywhere in the UK in under 3 seconds flat?
I do notice that Slashdot goes a bit funny on my 7110.
SMS is cool, but what's even better is using Yahoo's instant messenger from yer WAP phone - allows you to send IM's as if you're sat at your desk.
