Of course we gamble time rather than money - I don't know about you, but I'm looking at this page from work. In essence, I'm getting paid to surf the web (don't tell my boss).
Hell, beats workin'.
My brother's selling it because he has two Mazda 323 GTX's (Turbo, AWD) and just bought a new Subaru WRX (Turbo, AWD -- seeing a trend with my brother??)
Agreed. I'm currently driving my brother's 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 (number 478 of 2000), and it has 4 wheel steering, in addition to a turbo 2.0l and all-wheel drive. It's for sale, if you're interested...
Of course there's a use for this. Go and read "Starship Troopers" (not the movie, silly, the BOOK!). The use of computers is crucial to modern warfare. As one other person pointed out, it can be used for communication between soldiers and their platoon leader, thus ensuring a very organized attack on the enemy. Now, I'm not a war buff, but the book was very interesting, and went into some detail about the hardware used.
Besides, everyone knows that bitchin' technology originates on the battlefield. That's how we got GPS!
By your rational: I like your car. I race cars. I can see that you're not racing your car (as it's heritage suggests), thus I should get a judge to force you to give me your car so I can use it for it's "intended purpose". Maybe if you'd have purchased a Geo Metro or some other econobox, this wouldn't be a problem. Sorry mate, doesn't work that way.
we choose to gamble time rather than money.

...to come from Oregon. Please don't kill me! I didn't vote for him, I swear!
Check this place out. You can build a screen using standard TFT screens (leftovers from dead laptops?)
