You have missed the entire point. All the eye witness reports so far of the court hearing indicate that IBM has said no such thing. SCO is only now just trying to change the case to be about AIX on PPC so I doubt they have even asked IBM for the code. The whole artical is a big fat lie. That site has always been anti linux and as such I have always assumed it is another attempt by certain commercial software companies to save their asses.
Has heaps of pockets etc. Is comfortable to wear (my laptop is about 3kg) doesn't really look like it is a laptop bag and has good padding and restraints around the laptop to protect it. It only cost AU$100 which is pretty good really.
I can never find any good music to buy. It has all be stolen by those damn iPod using theives. I think we should beatup anyone who has an iPod so that we can all get access to the good music.
It is slow realllly reallly slow. I have done it several times, takes about 2 - 3 days to get sid all up and running on a 56k modem =o( Luckly I have ADSL in a week or so =o)
This is such a pile of bull. I can't see anyone with any intelligence thinking that it is a good idea to tie the linux desktop to a MS patented technology. Besides which KDE which is miles ahead of gnome in useability/quality/kick assness appears to have no intention of ever being tie to mono.
I am a commercial programmer and in general unless
it is a critical section of code I am yet to meet
a programmer who does do all the checks they should. I know I never do. I think it has to do with out belief that "ahh that will never happen"
which of course it always does =o). I do however
think the OS software gets better tested and as a
result the error checks will eventually get put in or the errors will go away and the will not happen.
I bought the beta3 release of Kde studio gold and while it still had a couple of minor little bugs (none of which really prevented using it) it is a very good product. I tried kdevelop as well and I found it to be less usable than kde studio. kde studio has copied a number of useful features from MS visual studio and enhanced them. The only down point is they have a similar means of manageing workspaces and projects which I find annoying and unintuitive (very much like the MS ones). Hettar

What are you talking about ?? We are pissed about it. Noone in Australia wanted it We only got it because the Government was trying to bribe and Independant minister. All He was saying was that implementation isn't as bad as it could have been under the laws that were passed. But consider this. If they ask you to prove you are using some form of net censorship people like my self are screwed because there are none for Linux. HeTTaR M&D Eaton http://www.uq.net.au/~zzmeaton hettar@uq.net.au
I wouldn't really worry about it. Our government has absolutely no clue about anything more computerised than a toaster. the bill is totally unenforceable and since they only did it to win the vote of the independat I doubt they will really even bother tyring to enforce it.
Goverments would be much better if not for the politics HeTTaR M&D Eaton http://www.uq.net.au/~zzmeaton hettar@uq.net.au
Hmm you have obviously never used Debian. It is far suprerior as far as maintainablity to RedHat. This is precisely because they delay their releases untill bugs are fixed. RedHat is alwyas releasing tons of fixes after their releases because they rush the releases out.
Personally you sound like a cluebie who is new to Linux knows very little and believes that because you use one distro everyone should. So I suggest that until you know what you are talking about you don't post.

Hmm Linus has one so I would expect that the kernel at least would operate very well on it.
If the kernel operates well then it is highly likely that other software will get a boost.
Hell I'm Austrlian and I defiantly don't want them.
