I totally agree. It sounds to me like "web developers" just do not want to branch out. They want to do everything in the web.
I have designed desktop applications for years and the interactivity and responsiveness is well beyond what the web can offer. With new deployment methods like Click-Once or even Silverlight the web (HTML, AJAX, JS) is a very bad idea for application development.
This is possible, but how many valid javascript programs are 1024 characters or less?

Checking each if it followed the predefined rules would be time consuming.
For instance, in Pacman, you might have to have the computer play a full game to check if the rules are met.
I actually want the rich people to have a lot of money.
Every job I have ever had, 10+, was created because some rich person needed my skills.
