Leaving aside all the usual (tiresome) conspiracy theories I'd definitely import them to Gmail or, better still, a Google Apps account as per suggestions from other posters. I have all my mail going back several years and there's no problems for me.
I've got 3 Gmail accounts (am in the UK) and it's there in 2 of them but not the other, which is kinda odd. It was only supposed to be on some accounts in error and "briefly"... but mine is still there days later. Oh well, I'm not paying for the phone calls so I'll keep using it until they realise and turn it off I guess?
I think it looks quite cool actually, they've tried a number of things messing about with their search engine but ever since autocomplete functionality launched in the Firefox search bar I've wondered where this kind of feature it's been all my web surfing life and when Google are going to roll it into their main search results. Can't wait for it to graduate from Labs!
I just wouldn't buy one - really don't see the need.

Such things are more likely to happen via back channels though, and it'd be the 'initiative' of the Swedish if it happened.
Impressive pics, would love to have a look around. The last data center I went to had lots of screens up to mask whose kit was behind the screen!
It seems haphazard, it's available on 2 of my 3 Gmail accounts and it shouldn't even be on any as I'm in the UK!
