The problem is that everybody thinks RSI=Carpal Tunnel. Even general practitioner doctors! RSI=9 diffrent conditions including Tendonitis, Tennis Elbow, Pinched Sholder Nerve. My story is almost exactally the same as the woman mentioned in the story (but I can't type that fast). If you get testing and treatment for Carpal Tunnel (in the palm of your hand) when you can have the EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS WITH TENDONITIS OF THE WRIST.
As for the problems "DISAPPEARING" most of the RSIs will heal slowly if you do the following
R.I.C.E.
R = Rest
I = Ice
C = Compress
E = Elevate
RSIs may still heal with only part of RICE but will take much longer. But most important, an RSI is telling you that, like in the old joke, if it hurts, you don't do that! So TAKE BREAKES, EXERSIZE YOUR HANDS, AND REMEMBER EVERYONS HANDS ARE DIFFRENT, AND WHAT IS ERGONOMIC FOR ONE PERSON ISN'T NECCISARILY ERGONOMIC FOR ANOTHER!
You should check out Cell Computing's products. I am planning on doing a wearable project with their Plug N Run series when I have the money to spare. You will probably be more interested in their PnR Developement boards. Call for some price quotes and for their size I'll think you'll be surprised. Also Look around for the M1 and M2 viewers if you want to totally geek out.
Much of the problem is that the NDP has become like most other politicians in Canada, because even though their policies were popular they were elected in small numbers around the country, keeping a power base in Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan has approxamately 1 million people. in a country of 37 million that dosen't amount to much. They started playing the political promise game to get elected. Then as times got tight they started recruting charismatic buisnessmen to try to attract more money to get more candidates elected. Finally those who got ellected had to deal with debts that made it seem like the politicians were shopaholics paying for everything with credit cards. They had to take actions that under normal circumstances the NDP never would.
As the saying goes every time you do something it gets easier. From there many NDP started slid down the slippery slope into back door and under the table deals that borrowed from Peter to pay Paul. There have been several major incidents that have mired members of the NDP, some of which are ludicrous to the plain sad. Because of this the Gen X and Yers (with a far left point of view), Farmers, and Labour Unions, who traditionally were the parties sternest supporters, now have no political affiliation.
Now all parties see these voters as up for grabs and try to aquire their support by going full speed ahead with any topic du jour that sounds like it has a leftist bend and does not interfere with their own parties platform. Violence in videogames is a good target, and one that is vague enough in many people's minds that they will beleive what they are told. I doesn't matter that games are already regulated, and if the parents and the stores aren't willing to do their jobs it won't matter how you regulate it.
Russia has large areas of unpopulated arctic terrain. They should sent it into an irregular orbit to reposition it to do the Tunguska into an Ice field and auction off the remains to pay off that goddam money sinkhole of an International Space Station.

He was the one to discover the principle that allows you to transcieve on a single antenna, did the first broadcasts of Morse Code accross the Atlantic, and did the first voice broadcasts. If you don't beleive me check out this bio (about half way down near the image of the alternator) http://www.kwarc.on.ca/hammond/fessenden-bio.html or search Google for Reginald A. Thessenden and you will get some very good sites right off the bat.
Take a gander at this Wired article I read a few months back... http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/7.09/nokia.html . In Finland Role-Playing on Nokias is a Killer App and according to a news story I saw up here in the Great White North (sorry, no link) cellphones with text messaging sold to teanagers would outsell some summer blockbusters dollar for dollar (once converted)
If I remember right there was two or three other Cyberpunk books out before Mr Gibson (a favourite author of mine) put out Neuromancer. I can't remember the author's name at the moment but he is often refered to as the Grandfather of Cyberpunk (Help... anybody?).
Speaking of Cyberpunk, there is a rollplaying game out buy the same name that I think came out before Shadowrun and it proved to be closer to reality, but still very prophetic. It predicted the Euro, the current recesion, and the technology based economy being super-successful to the point it has to be held back while farmers are suffering so much they are leaving farms like bands of gypsies. It too predicted that not only the multi-national mega-corps would have the resorces to control the world, but pushed for and won the right to take away the juristiction of contries and replace it with a body of their own creating (Can anyone say MAI? I knew you could).
