    I haven't watched the match, but stats say that Germany had actually more shots than Brazil. It's rather ironic, they won every game thanks to luck and thanks to a great performance by there goalie. Yet looks like in the last game, their goalie played horrible and luck wasn't on their side either.

    I watched a few games, and some players seem out of this world. They don't seem to get tired, they keep running as if the game has just started. So, my question is; is there any drug tests that are performed on the players?

    That's what the whole MS antitrust lawsuit is all about. The government wants more control over MS code, they want to have control over technology, they want to supervise everything, and they want to take away control from the consumers.

    I've come to realize that every Microsoft's new announcments have something to do with the lawsuit. Despicable.

    The anti-trust lawsuit won't be dropped until MS becomes the governments puppet.

    Oh easy to say. The fact is that many times the library I want is not in my distribution rpm's. And when it is included, the program will tell you the name of the library that's missing not the name of the rpm package.

    Besides, from all the apps I've downloaded from freshmeat, very few had rpm packages.

    And why exactly didn't your company switch to Linux on the desktop?

    It doesn't matter, people will always prefer simplicity anyway. I know enough to know that people couldn't care less about stability, security, freedom, privacy, etc.

    Give us simplicity and people will begin using Linux en masse.

    Well I have yet to reinstall Windows XP since its release. Pretty stable and no crashes as of yet.

    Yes I considered Macs but the problem is that they're pretty expensive. If I buy a Mac, it'll be an iBook. There laptops are decently priced for once.

    I considered switching my desktop to Linux for a while and have been looking closely at it for the last five years. Unfortunately, there's not much progress in sight. Installing a simple game is an exercice in patience. Why can't I just click on Next - Complete Install and then click on Finish and start the game just like in Windows?

    The already bundled software with the Linux distribution works fine but its when I want to install new software that the problems occur (ie. missing libraries, permissions, drivers, graphics, etc.)

    I do the same work to, and many people ask me if I could remove the password protection.

    Sorry but you're way off. People couldn't care less about security.

    Last night I was telling my cousin how all his Kazaa, AudioGalaxy, etc. software contains spyware and he didn't care at all.

    Go ahead, remove my karma points, I don't care. I've had enough already of those idiots who keep wanting to sue everyone for anything. And if MS will actually concentrate more on security and stability instead of features and fun, then I'll go get myself a Mac. I prefer using a somewhat buggy Windows 2000 instead of a perfectly stable and secure Windows 3.1.

    Besides, no software is perfectly secure. Perhaps they should concentrate more on suing the crackers.

    Most of the time that MS uses a third-party company, that company screws up. My question is, who exactly is in charge of seeking out and contracting with those companies? Fire him big time.

    True, and I believe that this is better. But if I had to take a business decision with my software, I would enable everything by default and give them the option to disable it. Why? From my experience, average users couldn't care less about security or privacy, they want all the features enabled by default even if they probably won't be using it. Crazy but true. Look at PGP as an example.

    Good admins shouldn't have any problems with either Apache or IIS.

    Well probably because of some customers request. Some people actually use very old technology and they want it to alway work. So Microsoft must make sure that every new version of their software, supports the older technologies to.

    If you don't use .HTR, then disable it.

    Also, I hope that you don't have every Apache feature enabled.
