    I don't know where they get those ideas from. I never did play 18 straight hours but I did play 7 straight hours and haven't noticed anything, it kept running.

    okay, let's say that MS bastardised the JVM. Still, why didn't all those companies develop a Java version for the rest of the OS's like Linux, Mac OS, BeOS, freeBSD, etc. instead of just developing one for Win and one for Mac?

    He goes up to work because he's passionate about what he does. You're describing him as if he was Hitler. He already controls the software industry, how could he want something he already have?

    no, I'm not getting paid by MS. Since so many people ask me this question, I guess I better ask MS for some money :)

    Can't really blame them, they want to be cool, so they starting posting anti-MS comments.
    It's funny many people recognize that MS have a lot of great programmers yet they qualify MS products as buggy bloatware. Go figure.

    yes we really need C#. If Java was so good, I believe companies like Adobe, Corel, MS, etc. wouldn't bother creating a Mac and Win version of their apps. They would have just developed in Java and saved themselves the cost.

    You probably don't have much money. Gates has already much more money than he will need in a lifetime. If .NET and C# were created by MS only to earn some more bucks then how come that until recently they had no marketing and business plan for .NET?

    I've only tried client-side Java apps and they were slow. For the server-side, the speed may be good i wouldn't know, never tried.

    They already tried and it was too much of a challenge for them. Going from supporting Mac Only hardware to supporting thousands and thousands of PC peripherals was a nightmare for them.

    To be honest, I don't care. I'm using Linux on my server and Windows on my desktop, couldn't be happier.

    Anyway, Mac advocates have been saying that before even the Mac OS X release, yet customers are still not buying it. This article was just made out of frustration.

    They were unable to develop a good OS on their own, so they took BSD's code.

    I'm not blaming them, au contraire. I said it before and I'll say it yet again, destruction is way easier than creation.

    Even though FBI's job is security, they can't prevent all crimes from happening.

    That said, their's no reason to blame MS either.

    I don't want the software I get to be Open Source, I don't see why the government should force that on me.

    Monopolies aren't that bad. I pay $35CAD/month (20$ US) for high speed internet access in Canada, because we have a monopoly. Try matching that.

    while we're at it, let me sue the cops because my friend died and they failed to protect her. Let me sue the whole earth because it's not a safe place to live in. Let me sue the FBI because they failed to eliminate crime.

    oh, is this the recipe for success? Maybe I should start a software company now and go with your M$ plan. I'll be sure to succeed.

    when did MS say they're not at fault? They published the patch and thanked the guy who found the exploit.

    piss-poor quality? Yeah, I guess that's why Windows is used on more than 90% of desktops and that MS Office is so popular.

    If you had any notions in marketing you would know that you can't get your customers money without first caring about your customers. that's what MS does, they added features that their customers ask for.

    Grow up will ya.

    Yeah sure, and the government wants also to be sure that you're not a terrorist. Maybe you should plug in cameras in every room and make your everyday life open to the public and if you ever do something illegal, they'll make sure to let you know.

    While we're at it, the government should also control which games we can and can't buy. After all, it's the government duty to protect people from immoral, violent and evil games.
