Personally, I think that the last remaining quality services are not unvulnerable. Not only on click fraud, but also on the results fetched for some queries.

How many times did you have to re-phrase your query in order to find the proper results? How many times did you see the first 20 or so results being the exact duplicated content from a spammer?

Sometimes I really think that search engines during the graphicless web days where bringing much better results than they do now, nomatter howmany billions of websites they now index.

They need to focus more on the quality of services they provide and not only on meeting investor expectations. However, the increased competition that we witness the past months will probably force them to improve their services.

All the solutions you state, have been in place. The only thing I didn't know was the TCP/IP setting. Will try it out.

My question relates to the fact that even with tight security precautions (unpriviledged user, norton antivirus, inactive non essential services and so on) the blaster worm got through to my system. Thankfully it was just meant to hit the windows website off. But how long before something even more disasterous hits the net?

Have also used ZoneAlarm firewall, but could not connect to several ports utilised by applications on the server.

    Informative advice indeed!

Have you checked Yahoo News ?

We have just migrated West Ham Fans into a content management system. PostNuke is the sofware behind the site.

Our "sister" company offers web hosting accounts that enable the automatic installation and configuration straight from the web browser. Therefore to get the website you see online took approximately 5 hours.

As for the content, PostNuke has a very nice user interface, allowing you to administer/add story/manage users/etc. with great ease.

After some initial struggle of getting traffic to your site (SE marketing is vital) and links from related websites, I think things will start getting better and better.

Of course, a reliable web hosting provider is a good place to start. Personally, being part of a 3-people web hosting/web design company I suggest that having a reliable hosting solution can avoid problems on the long run.

WorldPay uses a similar patent where a user who has paid with his/her credit card and on any site associated with WorldPay they simply fill in their user name and password and the system automatically retrieves credit card number, address, etc. Since they are using this patent for years now, how can a patent holder who has registered it as patent at a later date, start charging them?

Guys I know is really terrible what happened. But the US have been involved in far too many diplomatic "attrocities" during the past. Apart from the middle east crisis in which the US take clearly the part of Israel do you remember a few years ago in Yugoslavia what happened?

The peace makers britain and US were bombarding hospitals, schools and other fundamental resources that are targeting innocent civilians!

In Iraq the same, in cyprus thousands of people went missing under the turkish intrusion which was masterminded with the CIA and the military juda they helped bring to power in Greece and still 30 years later still support its turkish interests.

    Not to mention vietnam!

IS THIS OK WITH YOU? Do you expect people will do nothing just because you are stronger?

Then why all this fuss about Microsoft? Isn't it the same sort of global monopoly?

But of course you are not even aware of this right?

    (for the record i'm greek...)
