    I figure I will get my 99 bucks worth of use out of it before it dries up with its homebrew scene, and I doubt it will take more than a month to get android or any other linux on it (its already running linux)

    its probably cat3 which most automatically call telephone wire cause they dont know what they are doing, and they saw the same stuff punched into the pbx.
    which cat 3 does make nice telephone wire, thats not why it existed originally

    Just looking around other OS's like I sometimes do, hey lets check out Haiku, look at whats available and make sure my hardware works with it

    ah cool nvidia support, ah FAIL agp drivers for geforce 7 series or less otherwise use the vga driver

    moving along ...

    guys you gotta make some attempt to at least try and keep up with hardware if your making an OS

    so anyway I tossed it on my 2.4ghz celeron craptop since its more fitting, still had to use some generic driver on a pretty old ATI card, and the OS was obnoxiously slow (well the computer is already slow so only -1 pt) and frankly there was nothing to run.

    it was fun for a day, but realistically pretty spartan, and not that functional, maybe I will check back in a decade to see if they have advanced at all.

    F3 does it in most applications, firefox, chrome, office etc. why fuck about with 2 keys? the ONLY place I can think where you NEED ctrl+F is on the windows desktop where it was a leftover from windows95. but hey that broken windows search usually keeps people from using that

    TBH the majority couldn't even if given the chance, when little johnny failed his math exam cause he was drooling on the desk, then fuck him. This is part of the problem, we are so worried about every child that we often retard the normal ones to keep the stupid / worthless ones up to par.

    Software is intangible goods with a shelf life less than warm milk, all built from the same building blocks. I do agree however we are in for a large economic shift but not in the same way. As these companies spend a lot of time and resources suing over who figured out the click mechanism the world keeps moving, people don't give a shit and eventually it will all implode.

    when one is accusing the other of copycatting then yes it should be realistically represented, the scaled image does make samsung look nearly identical in shape and size, which IS a major selling point on the iphone. In the real world there is a noticeable difference.

    reaching would be apple thinking they invented glossy round web2.0 icons, and how dare anyone arrange them on a grid!
