I figure I will get my 99 bucks worth of use out of it before it dries up with its homebrew scene, and I doubt it will take more than a month to get android or any other linux on it (its already running linux)
its probably cat3 which most automatically call telephone wire cause they dont know what they are doing, and they saw the same stuff punched into the pbx. which cat 3 does make nice telephone wire, thats not why it existed originally
I would say its mostly hobbyists having fun, the development of this thing moves at a snails pace, and the only goal I have ever seen is to replicate Be
Just looking around other OS's like I sometimes do, hey lets check out Haiku, look at whats available and make sure my hardware works with it
ah cool nvidia support, ah FAIL agp drivers for geforce 7 series or less otherwise use the vga driver
moving along...
guys you gotta make some attempt to at least try and keep up with hardware if your making an OS
so anyway I tossed it on my 2.4ghz celeron craptop since its more fitting, still had to use some generic driver on a pretty old ATI card, and the OS was obnoxiously slow (well the computer is already slow so only -1 pt) and frankly there was nothing to run.
it was fun for a day, but realistically pretty spartan, and not that functional, maybe I will check back in a decade to see if they have advanced at all.
F3 does it in most applications, firefox, chrome, office etc. why fuck about with 2 keys? the ONLY place I can think where you NEED ctrl+F is on the windows desktop where it was a leftover from windows95. but hey that broken windows search usually keeps people from using that
TBH the majority couldn't even if given the chance, when little johnny failed his math exam cause he was drooling on the desk, then fuck him. This is part of the problem, we are so worried about every child that we often retard the normal ones to keep the stupid / worthless ones up to par.
Software is intangible goods with a shelf life less than warm milk, all built from the same building blocks. I do agree however we are in for a large economic shift but not in the same way. As these companies spend a lot of time and resources suing over who figured out the click mechanism the world keeps moving, people don't give a shit and eventually it will all implode.
when one is accusing the other of copycatting then yes it should be realistically represented, the scaled image does make samsung look nearly identical in shape and size, which IS a major selling point on the iphone. In the real world there is a noticeable difference.
reaching would be apple thinking they invented glossy round web2.0 icons, and how dare anyone arrange them on a grid!
its more like, hey pc devs finally ready to go beyond shoving 1 more virus scanner on windows, come play with these real computers, but be careful! it can kill you.
you just now figuring that out, when no one can make tech goodies cause of being sued to oblivion, people dont work to put them together and maintain them
so my number 1 complaint about (new) bookstores is they never have what I am looking for, so now I have even less of a reason to go to them
have fun, your 200,000 square foot coffee shop really cant be doing that well
there should be no reason those plugs have all 4 pins installed, thats just asking for it
apparently not find your imagination
ok so the thing runs linux, has a homebrew scene and has software toolkits, what cant you do with a xga screen and a 1.2ghz cpu tablet?
then people like me walk in and see an open box doo hicky at 75% off

just set a coffee can around the antenna and choose which 4 rooms is going to have acceptable wifi, or sprinkle the place in apple airports
or you could just do it right the first time and be done with it
