    I got nailed with it once in Tennessee, it was about 3 am and I did a rolling stop on a country road, I had just driven from Texas, anyway the cop says "your eyes are glassy and red, and you look to be in a stupor" (no shit I had been driving since that morning), after failing to repeat my ABC's in reverse (after driving 12 hours +, at 3 am) I was given the option for a blow test, I refused, they instantly took me to the nearest hospital and drew blood, and tossed me in the tank for 8 hours

    results came back as 0, I lost that job cause it all happened on the way back from a work trip, lost my apartment and that car cause I did not have work, damn near went bankrupt, and the lawsuit is in me vs the man limbo 7 years later

    I can understand you dont want Otis sloshing his way around the freeway but when you have some screwup flunky trying to make a quota and prove his ego kindly piss off and go die

    meanwhile the guy who shot at me in my own driveway 2 years later while mugging me spent less time in the can

    ugh "America"

    Im not bent out of shape, I just dont want to hear about all these issues with a silly license when the people most interested in it wont do a darn thing

    not GPL = I should keep track of a stupid list of devices to be kosher

    no sorry, these are multimillion organizations, keep track and take care of your own shit

    if that is too much bother, than dont expect me to check a list before purchasing

    but Sylvania is on that list too, are they a no-name company that will vanish from a little GPL lawsuit? what about Zenith or Viewsonic, or Creative Labs?

    not to be a douche on this, but what is my incentive?

    If GPL item A is inferior to my needs than non technicality item B, why should I be buying A to enforce a co-alliance's problem, is it not their issue for letting these B items exist without ramifications?

    I for one am not going to bother checking a "naughty and nice" list for every single fkin purchase, force them if you want your licence to be inforced, otherwise leave me, the consumer out of it

    yea if you take my nettop remove storage and disk your down to about 85$ and it still outspec's the 342$ hp

    that is what is wrong with the picture to me, would I love to walk in tomorrow with a reasonable plan for centralized thin client across the board, but its hard to do when you can get 3ghz P4's for 99 bucks off lease that run excel better, but 75-120$ each, 2 gig ram and not scraping the floor in performance, maybe

    google shopping "thin client" nets me a 1.6ghz 1gb HP model at the top of the list for 342$

    in 2008 around that same cost I got a 2.6ghz X2 with 4gb 500gb DVD burner and a frikin geforce 9600GT

    so for me screw thin clients, maybe if a decent spec-ed one was less than 100$ I might look into it

    but then again I just put together a 1.6ghz dual core atom with 2gb 160gb and a dvd rom for less than 100$ that is not that much bigger than a thin client, so whats my incentive other than having a case that is only a couple inches smaller, no storage, and no media for 242$ more?

    and what do you think this thing is? a hobby project, no one serious would show their prototypes on a junky website as if it were an accomplishment

    and no I am not involved with making plastic cases, I do however know hobbiest, and this "company" is nothing more than a silly idea, a junky webpage and a 3D printer they probably rented time on

    I suggest you quit sniffing your own pixie dust and notice that this "company" as yet to do anything except make a one off and a webpage

    I dont know why your so offended by my comments, but you wish to insult me about something that no, I am not involved in, while making the claim that some fuckwit went to a prototyper and posted pictures of it is amazing proof that this grand company (probally 2 20 somethings with some money to blow on a retarded idea that has failed so many times its almost a windows tablet) is doing something

    they have printed a 1 off and proves nothing other than they know how to use a cad package and a 3d printer

    think open pandora, it took that small group of people who knew nothing about how things get made nearly 2 years and thousands of dollars for a basic square clamshell

    which is how you bootstrap a A2 with a serial card, just put the machine in to monitor, and dump the DOS memory capture into a serial terminal, a few min later bam

    in this case you have raw access to the memory via the built in monitor, which allows memory content to be read or witten directly though any way you can get it in, including typing

    no compiler needed, it has an assembler in rom and you can dump memory to any device you please

    A2 is easy due to its single cpu "does it all" architecture

    yea I have a couple too, my beige box 2008 X2 still supports a 360k 5.25 (along with the 1.2mb format, and the 3 standard 3.5 inch formats)

    yea you can get the super serial card for the + but if you have a different way that works for you then more power to you

    there is also a voodoo way of piping data in through the 16 pin joystick port (not sure about the 9 pin though they should be the same other than connector)

    I own one for my main home computer, justifying it to my wife (as a gag I only paid 3$ + tax for it, and its just like new for a 92 model) as being able to beat any would be burglars to death, all thanks to its quick release RJ style plug and hefty construction
