1) the plastic is not that wobbly, its not gel:-) 2) everything I have seen that was made by a home made extruder requires finishing to some degree, accuracy is not the 100% goal if you pursue a machine of this type
it still losses its state when you remove power... what it means is in a traditional transistor there is a fairly wide tween nearly off (you cant really switch them totally off either) and fully saturated (totally on) for the sake of simplicity its the difference tween ~microvolts and ~0.7 volts. This style of transistor that gap is very close together and transistors cause quite a bit of noise when zipping around even at low speeds and low quantities due to current being constantly switched on and off
bottom line is, currently it seems to be the equivalent of holding a gun with a hair trigger while your doing 60mph in a rock quarry, the rate of error is bound to be too high to be acceptable
though "wont" is a silly choice of words, currently impractical would be better, but that would be a "no shit" article or else we would be using the things already for this application
you can hack a ds by getting a 5$ adapter cart and a sd card, its far easier and aside from shipping it takes less than 10 seconds
but yet DS doesnt blame every single shortcoming on "piracy" like sony does, slow optical media? dick battery life? constant hardware changes and customer confusion? bad control layout incompatible with playstation? a grand total of like 6 games that dont completely suck? no way its "piracy"

it runs outlook and excel just fine, and after we scraped a bunch of these machines for the suits desktops, that 2GB of pc133 ram are humming along quite satisfactory on this old 1.7GHz P4 even with the 2x AGP card

you cant notice distortion cause the compression levels and the ipod's dac are already clipping out the signal like mad, your just flooding your input to maximum loudness, which depending on what type of music you listen to, could just make it sound like flat noise
but then if your listening to music on a Ipud connected to a drain tube bose your probably just listening to standard issue "me too" consumer garbage which lacks any soul anyway, so you would never notice
