5) oh so using a standard sata drive with a non standard pinout and connector that you could only get from apple is now being ahead of the curve, I call it being fucked over

But the point remains, look at the driver specs, go low, go high, something like 50,15K is going to sound like a brass horn and nothing else. If they do not list frequency response then just move on, they will be nothing but ear damaging crap.

Debian still supports PPC, I have 6.0.5 on a powermac 9600, xfce, iceweasle, chromium, libre office the whole 9... yea its slow on my 300mhz cpu, but its perfectly useable and your G4 should smoke it
