Sure it's a feature (for powerusers), but I can't trust 50 people in a call center to run a virus scan every time they download something. At best I could schedule one to run once per week.

Perhaps you haven't noticed, but when you watch a blu-ray, or a blu-ray rip on your PC, it's not in 16:9, it's in some other messed up format.
Why are we buying 16:9 monitors if our content isn't even in 16:9?
Can we dig down to the root of the problem here? and that is, Unity can't even begin to compare to Gnome. imho, it's nowhere near as intuitive.
