Well, I'm currently a soldier, so I get to be home once in about 2 weeks. I don't have any problems with my cable modem connection, but while I'm away, somewhy my parents do have them, and once in a while they call the tech support, most of the things they told me that the tech support said was try turning off the firewall(luckily my parents don't do such things with the comp, and wait for me, so i'm still virus free.)
Let's suppose you do the same with a text file. You(by experience) won't have any problem with it. So, if you don't make an mp3 out of the cd, but copy it bit by bit, it will not lose any data, of course if you try to make it mp3->cda->mp3->cda, it will be much worse...
I remember hearing about it several years ago. I think it was published in Popular Science Magazine about that time. And since then it has been appearing in different places, also there were the news about alot in a coin sized Hard-Disk, and still it never got to the doing of it.
Well, I thought that they brought Mir I down because they didn't have enough budget. If so, how come right away they want to make another one?
And I wonder whether the mean world or peace this time(because mir means both in Russian).
Last time they translated it, they mistook. In the title of War in Peace, which should have been The World and Peace...
A story on CNN tells about cars BMW developed that run on liquid hydrogen. I think, it's better than that fuel, at least, because it's clean(if you don't count the process of making it).
They may want to block song by artist (inclusive) or by song title, which means that either you can't share a song with the right name, or no one will find it.
Well, here in Israel all the doctors in the clinics use computers, but desktops, I think using a palm would be an improvement for them. It's portable, and has a touch screen which is much more comfortable for immediate use.
I don't agree with this at all, because of 2 reasons:
1)Microsoft software "is" wanted because it's the only one the companies are familiar with, and if they'd get a user-friendly enough software they'd adjust as easily to it.
2)KDE 2 is user-friendly enough as mentioned above, though it's not very linux-spririted, but it's the truth, and it's actully a comfortable truth.
Any company could adjust to such a platform. I agree that maybe BSD would be a little harder for an average secretary to adjust to, but a friendly X-Windows would be very easy, and much better than MS software...
