  1. Here we go again. (Rant). on Amiga, Inc. Announces AmigaOne Spec... Sort Of. · · Score: 1
Every time an Amiga story gets posted, we get a handful of the same comments:
    • How great the classic Amiga was (and still is, btw).
    • How this is nothing like the classic Amiga we all know.
    • How crap the new AmigaNG system is.
    • How cool the new AmigaNG system is.
    • How nice the (insert specific and beloved amiga game here) was.
    etc.

Again, this is all thin air until we see some hardware.

But we also read this comment as well. :-)

  2. Similar thing for my Stock-Market Company on OS-Independent Web Banking? · · Score: 1
This greek company crashes your browser if it's Netscape 4.x, and you can't see anything if it's something other than IE4+. Now, I can't give any orders to sell or buy stocks.

Well, perhaps it's a feature, not a bug...

  3. What a funny read that was. on Time To Re-Evaluate Microsoft's Linux Myths Page? · · Score: 1

I couldn't help ROTFL with this article.

Especially the point where they are saying that "Linux Swapfile is max. 128M". :) Or what about the largest file size, on Windoze it is 18 Terrabytes, Good lord.

ANW, I think it is interesting to see the source code of the page. At the bottom there is a commented-out part, with links that seem to have expired. Well, that's fine, but the names of the links seem interesting: "While we do not view Linux as a serious competitor for Microsoft at the desktop, Linux will not disappear from the computing landscape through 2004.". How about that.

ANW, I've stopped listening to what they say for a long time now. I mean, who cares what they are doing, with all these new products they release, just to earn more money? (Win 2000 Professional, Server, Win Whistler, Millenium or whatever).

  4. Re:Puh-lease. on Giant Linux Boost From Washington Post · · Score: 1

Puh-lease. Linux is good, but to some people its just another way to make money. That doesn't make them any better than Microsoft.

So what? Everybody has to have a job in this world. Why not by promoting Linux?

I don't care for the motives of these people, as long as it is for the good of the end user/customer. If they do their jobs well, they will be rewarded anw.
