Because, first off, having a gun in your home is probably one of the better ways to put yourself at risk. The statistics, I believe, say having a gun in your home at all is bad news for your safety, because it's more likely to be used against you than anything else.
Second, yes, he was taught to use it responsibly and that's fine. However, a child will have difficulty physically defending himself from an adult attacker, and really CAN'T have as much experience as an adult, unless the adult is completely new to guns.
As such, NOT responsible. Not a whole lot more responsible WITHOUT the child either.
While I agree with you regarding everything else, having a gun in your household -- let alone in the hands of a child -- can hardly be considered responsible.
a) My Treo has a Google Maps program that can call the number of the place you've found on the map. b) Same deal -- Treo supports both. c) I think the Treo is still cheaper than this phone.
The Prius' battery is supposed to last the life of the car. As far as I know, it is also somewhat guaranteed... so... really, what are you talking about?
No, he is not grossly exaggerating. Anything under 20 today is an embarrassment. Your SUV gets you places safely and comfortably? So what? So does my car, so does the bus... what is your point?
Unlocked phones are really a GSM-ism. On CDMA, it doesn't really matter. Where are you going to go? The new carrier needs to program the phone anyway, since you can't just change SIM's.
Unlocking his current phone, if Verizon even does that, would probably have no effect.
I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and am still unhappy about it, but work said my phone would be free on Verizon or I could keep my personal phone for no reason and keep paying for it.
I've had to deal with customer support once so far, and it was a waste of time. Every time you call up, they don't look at the notes in the case, just ask you the same shit all over again. I called twice, had to do the same bullshit troubleshooting over the phone again (I've had a Palm for years -- I know how to factory reset it -- if it's still fucked after that, replace it). In addition, when they found out it was broken finally, they said only refurbished phones could be shipped (even in the first 30 days of warranty) -- I'd have to go to a store to get a new phone. The first store they sent me to (though not a REAL Verizon store) was a total waste of time. Apparently Verizon does not think Newark is important enough to have a real presence in, despite the fact that they have an HQ here and a large contract with my company. When I went to the real Verizon store on my own time, they made me do the same BS troubleshooting again. I was in and out of the store in about 30 mins, with virtually no wait... but why did it take that long? I'm dropping off a phone -- hand me the new box and I'll activate it... that's 10 mins tops. Nope, not from these jokers.
I also have no doubt that they're fucking my company moneywise, but I can't prove it since I no longer see the bill.
This is exactly the reason that I don't want to be doing business with them. I don't even care if the coverage isn't perfect. Frankly, it's a fucking cell phone. If I wanted something that was going to work every time I used it, I'd use a wall phone. If I don't get coverage on a cell, I'll make the call in 5 mins -- no big deal.
Verizon accidentally gave my dad the $20/mo unlimited data plan. Actually, when he talked to a customer service rep, they told him to be careful since they wouldn't know how to put it back if they tried. For me, they charge $45 a month, I think (it's a business phone -- the ONLY reason I have Verizon) for the same thing I got from T-Mobile, sans HotSpots which were nice. More than double the price, feature for feature. And for what? The coverage for me, living in a metropolitan area, has been nearly identical.
Incidentally, I do not believe you are correct that minivans are classified as light trucks, though I know SUV's are. They were required to add the third taillight, for example, sometime in the early 90's. I think this is as a result of a reclassification.
Please learn to read. Below 20 and above 25 is a rather large gap. I could have used 15 and 30 if I wanted to be somewhat realistic, but then I would have been sniped at for using some cars and making a generalization, but that would be closer to the truth.
Time in the car is time wasted. Time on transit gives you time to read or do work. In addition, the walking and transferring is good for you -- excercise. Where's the downside, other than the fact that it takes 3x as long (which in this case could be 30 mins vs. 10 mins -- you don't say).
Many SUV's are not suited for back roads of the desert anyway. I'm willing to bet you're not going off road, and if you are, you have one of the VERY few SUV's that have large enough ground clearance to do so (look underneath the Ford Explorer and you'll see that most minivans have better ground clearance).
Sounds like you've fallen for the advertising. Besides, why are you driving on untamed land? Why not hike and get some excercise?
Me too. My parents had one, so I never fell for the FUCKTARDED idea that SUV's are somehow cooler. I had one and used it for a LOT of things. Now I have a 2000 Sport model that my parents traded up to. I hardly drive it, so I'm not really contributing to the pollution any more than anyone with a subcompact does, and when I do drive it, I'm likely taking a couple cars off the road because I take everyone.
I believe Google for Domains can solve this problem, right? I'm not 100% familiar with it, but... I think it's a start.
I find "in the ghetto," the community is more tightly knit than in the suburbs.

Wrong you are.

And you are a selfish piece of shit that doesn't care what you put into the air?

10 short blocks? Can you still SEE your feet? Especially if not, I'd consider using them to WALK to these places.
Or probably even if they do. I haven't seen SMS included in too many data plans.

Unless Consumer Reports is lying to its customers, that money IS coming from subscribers. It is not coming from product manufacturers, anyway.
Stop making phone calls while you're driving: problem solved.

I've been a big fan of 1 and 2 for awhile.

Gotta work with what is actually for sale. 25 isn't great, but look at the Expedition... what's that get, 11 or something?
The vast majority of SUV's get below 20mpg (I don't villify all SUV's, but most) and the vast majority of sedans get above 20mpg.
Take into account the bumper height difference and the fact that other cars can't see properly with an SUV around and this is where this comes from.
SUV's are fuck-awful family cars.
What is your gas mileage?
Why can't a minivan pull a trailer or a boat? I've certainly seen it.
Coming from someone with a website of "landoverbaptist.org". Who needs an environment when we can be SAVED?
Tell me what I've bought without thinking, sir?

It's not a fair comparison. The Prius has/does a great many things that a cheap Scion xA does not.
