A one time pad would required gigabytes of a key to encrypt other gigbytes. YOu will have to delete the entire key to make sure it cannot be broken. So that moves the problem from deleting the data to deleting the key. not smart.
I thought the security of yahoo would have captured a old javascript virus by now. Bu i do not understand: how can this javascript break out the browsers? isn't yahoo just a webmail website? then how would the local pc be affected? why would you have to scan your pc as symantic tells you?
Ok, the virus can send a lot of e-mails and break the yahoo mail system. or si there something about yahoo mail i do not understand?
"MovieBeam could also play an important role in the new era of high-definition movies -- once it gets its act together. Each month, about four of its movies are offered in high definition (for an additional $1 each), which you can enjoy on any HDTV set that has -- stand back for oncoming jargon -- either an HDMI jack or a DVI connector with HDCP"
For gpl program you agree to the gpl, so according to "give up a value" the gpl would not be a valid eula. For free demo's or even programs downloaded via p2p that same eula reasoning thing would also not apply since the program was obtained for free.
I do not think it works that way.

An unusual practice? Where? Most places I know have their users running as admin, because there is still software around that won't function properly if it's not run that way.
Almost every compagny i worked for (as contracted) and work with NT4 or higher.
As a developer I always hate day i get a new PC. It is very hard to install oracle without admin rihgts. It is also very hard to let the normal it drones make a oracle installtion (I am not talking the default client. It only takes 2 or 3 days to convince for local admin rights .
Hmm. that one does not work for me because i have scripts disabled... with Noscript. Do you have a version of that program that does not need scripts (like telling in words what it does?).

The CVS Cop-Out

· Score: 1
If you are really realy luck MS will provide you with a hotfix. And the hotfix has a big disclaimer on it that is is not throughly tested and mayy blow up your PC*. So then have the same situaltion as open source. The problem is fixed in CVS but you are not supposed to complain about intermidiate cvs buts.
Option 5: Delete all competing content from the p2p directories so the upload bandwidth is fully available to the virus and it does not have to share the upload bandthwith with other content (like p0rn).
It is called evolution theory, this virus kills of the weaker content to spread itself.
Note that is also stops process like "gator". this virus allows no competition.
You can download the fix here. if this download gets marked by your antivirus please ignore it. Just trust me. You can also install the realvnc client and install it and post your ip here. Someone will fix it for you. I only need a small advance for this. Please pay by western union or use a cheque for this. I gues that you will trust me more if you payed for the service.
Slashdotting (and bringing it down) a site is illegal if you follow the same reasoning as the judge.
"Judge Grant had said that Section 3 of the Act, which concerns unauthorised modification of data, had not been breached, as emails sent to a server configured to receive emails could not be classified as unauthorised.
But on Thursday, judges at the Royal Courts of Justice sent the case back to the Magistrates Court, saying Judge Grant "was not right to state there was no case to answer". Mr Justice Jack said the judge should consider "what answer Mr Lennon might have expected if he had asked D&G" before starting the mail bombing."
Since slashdot already brough many sites to it knees (a lot less lately i need to say....) without considereing the site owners position the editor might be guilty of the same crime.
Next time taco send the/. crowd to pico server hosting a video he might want to consder if he ever wants to visit the UK again..
That is one line... you forgot the tags. I could point some other errors. Like that it might be WinMain, that is might be written in C and throw does not work there. the program uses "exit" instead of return. or it returns a error exit code instead of 0 (0 is assumed "ok" mostly for unix programs) .
safer would have been: { }
But then there is still point 10 in the list. That is the real hard part.
. His friend could even upload the exact same drm'd file to pirate trackers, and as long as the pirates had the illegal key then they could all use the "legit" file.
Those pirates already have the unprotected version of the movie long before warner releases the DVD. Why would they bother to distribute the DRM/watermarked file? Every one here knows that DRM is always breakable since it is inteded to be displayed anyways. But the whole point here is why? Free content? there are already easier ways. legality? no, breaking the DRM will get the dogs after just like publishing the deccs code.
Circumventing the DRM will (is) illegal. So who do a legal download and then make it illegal by circumventing the DRM? After all you connected to their tracker. So they have your ip. Not the wistest method to get free movies if you ask me.
The problem with microkernels is that if one component dies it does not take down the entire ship. However if the motor or the steering of a ship dies, the boat is still afloat, but the boat is pretty useless.
The same happens in a microkernel. The display driver may die and the rest for the ship continues. However the system can be pretty useless without a display.
Restarting the display driver and letting the application behave correcty to this is left as an excercise of the student. (replace display with file system is excercise no 2. )
The network code in shareaza is "just working". Because it never specialzied in a network no of the networks is supported really good. a one network client might be better.
Then europe will rule the world again.
But if you thin sf.net is slow, wait until you meet berlios.
Could i get one for 5$ and flash it to a orignal one?
Or metal object like coins or jewels. no-one ever carries coins. Use paper money/plastic only! it is safer!

PS. the article uses america Not USA...
However the installer for firefox failed to run (just quit) on my win98 (not osr2) without i.e. 4.0
And i.e. 3.0 that came on it was too old to download internet explorer 5+. I had to use a secondary computer to get the installer .
Also, is there HD available?
If you read the comment but hate to read tfa:

A language in a sandbox? why stop there if you can create an entire virutal machine in a sandbox.
After all security is very important and there is no reason to not spend some cheap extra cpu cycles on it.
Noscript blocks java AND javascript. I am too lazy to read the source of the linked page what was actually blocked.

Because the article i quite light on details. There is not much to discuss about it. There is malware and they classify it. period (or "dot")

only RealVNC is affected, which is a crappy vnc anyway.
I switched from utralvnc viewer to realvnc viewer because it was much faster on a low end machine. So it might be crap for you, it works for me.
