So, how does this make it any different from Limewire, or Napster? I understand that there's the added benefit the swarm, but... really, how is this any different?
It'll get driven to the ground with junk and viruses. I'll stick to my private tracker, TYVM.
I remember when Operation Flashpoint came out, people were complaining about degraded performance over time; like sloping crosshairs, shifting of the screen, etc - where it got to the point where it was unplayable. Turns out it was FADE technology that had detected a pirate copy. I don't know how it affected legitimate users though...
I remember reading articles about this a couple of months ago, complete with pictures. It was soon told to be fake, and the pictures were photoshopped. Is this the same thing but with an elaborate video-shop?
You know, these "enhanced patdowns" are nothing new. I got this treatment on my trip to the US in 2006 when I was pulled aside. It's just now, they're extending it to everyone (or at least, everyone who refuses the xray).
Not excusing it, I think it's stupid. Just saying.
